🗻 We are the Shield 🗻
Ever since you were a young kit, you had heard stories about the Clan's Watch- the brave loyalists who protect the Valley and everyone inside of it. As an apprentice, you'd stare in awe as the thick-furred, hard-faced Warriors came into the camp during the meeting nights for their visitation. And on this day... you trembled with nervousness as the elite band of Watchers sat in a circle around you. Ashrain, the heart and soul behind the Watch itself, materialized out of her den and padded forward on the Highledge. Her acidic green eyes felt colder than the wind among the peaks as you met her gaze. "My brothers and sisters of the Clan's Watch," she called, her voice echoing off the stones of the camp. "Today we welcome a new member into our ranks. A fine, young, fit, healthy cat has given up their worldly pleasures and sacrificed their comfort to protect the Valley and keep our family safe. This is a noble thing and we are honored to have you here among us now." A ripple of agreement surged through the ranks and you felt your heart hammer with anxiety. "Do you pledge to honor our Creed, to defend this Wall, and protect our clan- even at the cost of your life?" "I do." "Do you swear to be the shield for the Valley- to be willing to fight and die to keep our kin below safe from whatever may be in the dark?" "I do!" She nodded. "Come forward, recite your vows... For now your watch begins."

🗻 Rules 🗻
🗻 I. Do. Have. A. Joining. Form! It is posted clearly IN THE VERY FIRST POST. You MUST join The Clan's Watch with your characters in this form! I have two moderators: Rowan and Mikah. We can all deny you the right to join until your characters are in the correct form. It just makes them easier to add. Simply follow the form. Thank you! 🗻 Literacy please! I like to be able to understand what it is that you're trying to say. Try and have a good, strong reply as often as possible. If your initial joining form is littered with errors, this is a bad indication that you're not going to be a strong, literate RPer. 🗻 There's no character limit. (I'm serious.) Have at it! Unleash your creativity! :3 🗻 Forum rules do apply here. If you don't know them; look it up. 🗻 I'm okay with spam like asking for someone to go to another RP, but NO useless stuff. 🗻 No bullying. For real, I won't tolerate it. (~'-')~ Just move along. 🗻 I'll pick who becomes Captain or Co-Captain. But you can apply if there is a position open! 🗻 R-E-S-P-E-C-T. 🗻 When you post your joining form, and do not start role playing/communicating within 72 hours (three days) of posting, you will not be added to the front page. We encourage you to start role-playing as soon as your joining form is accepted! 🗻 I don't usually mind inactiveness but try to give me some type of warning before you disappear for three months. Or I may delete you. After 30 days of being inactive in the clan, your username will be posted on the front page and your characters will be saved on one of the clan pages. Just check to see where if you return and they'll be added back and activated. Active members are more likely to have higher statuses in the clan. 🗻 If I have to leave for a while, or do so unexpectedly, the Deputies, Medicine Cats, "Senior Warriors", and other Leaders will be expected to keep the clan running until I return. 🗻 If you've read this and the other rules, copy and paste 'CAG' into your joining form. (If you make multiple characters, you only have to post the pass-code once.) 🗻 Have fun!

🗻 The Watcher's Creed 🗻
🗻 "Night gathers- and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no mate, hold no lands, have no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the blade in the darkness. I am the Watcher on the Wall. I am the shield that guards the hearth of my clan. I pledge my life and honor to the Clan's Watch- for this night and all the nights to come."
--- [Also, a special nod to George R.R. Martin. The inspiration from the Clan's Watch comes from his Night's Watch from the A Song of Fire and Ice series which was the basis for the Game of Thrones television series on HBO.]
🗻The Warrior Code 🗻
1.) Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan. 2.) Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory. 3.) Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. 4.) Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for it's life. 5.) A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. 6.) Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. 7.) A cat cannot become a deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. 8.) The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires. 9.) After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moon high. 10.) A gathering of all Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time. 11.) Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats. 12.) No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan. 13.) The word of the Clan leader is the Warrior Code. 14.) An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his or her battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense. 15.) A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet. 16.) Each Clan has the right to be proud and independent, but in times of trouble they must forget their boundaries and fight side by side to protect the four. Each Clan must help the others so that no Clan will fall. --- [CloudClan- and in its turn the Clan's Watch- reserves the right to choose to follow certain rules of the Warrior Code. It varies by Leader and by Captain.]
🗻 The Medicine Cat Code 🗻
1.) A Medicine Cat may not take on a mate. 2.) A Medicine Cat may not have kits. 3.) A Medicine Cat should not be rude to a injured cat. 4.) A Medicine Cat should not fight. 5.) A Medicine Cat should not leave the camp unless it is to find herbs with a Warrior. 6.) A Medicine Cat may not steal herbs to give to another Clan. 7.) A Medicine Cat must be loyal and not lie to his or her Clan. 8.) A Medicine Cat must know basic defense moves for self-defense. 9.) A Medicine Cat may not speak of a prophecy unless the leader has given permission. 10.) A Medicine Cat must not neglect an injured cat or not help it. It is the Medicine Cat's duty to help a cat even if they hate them. --- [CloudClan- and thus the Clan's Watch- reserves the right to choose to follow certain rules of the Medicine Cat Code. It varies by Leader, by Medicine Cat, and by Captain]
🗻 Cloudclan's Principals 🗻
🗻 Respect all leaders and deputies.
🗻 Honor those who have passed on to StarClan.
🗻 Love those who have made you who you are.
🗻 Remember our past. It has made us stronger.
🗻 Heal broken hearts with gentle paws.

🗻 Captain 🗻
~Ashrain- A fireball of grit and determination, Ashrain was given her father's name and apparently she also inherited his wild spirit. Ashrain is a foggy, misty gray she-cat with medium-length, silky fur. She has white toes and a shortish yet flowy pelt- though anymore her fur is just heavy and thick from the mountain weather up on the Wall. There is a place between her ears where the fur never quite lies flat. She has a patch of white fur over her right eye which makes her look a lot like her mother in the face. Before the Frostbitten War, Ashrain was attacked by a Frostbiter (an undead creature under the late Lilyfrost's control) and the assault resulted in the complete removal of her left front paw. Despite the injury, she has proved herself to be a formidable Warrior, leader, and now... Captain. Ashrain has her mother's green eyes. She is extremely family oriented and even now in the Watch, she is hyper-protective of her siblings in the Valley. She is known to tatter ears over her half-brother, Feralblade, who left the Valley to join Streamclan to be with his mate and kits in the Vale. She doesn't approve of any kind of cruel treatment toward him and won't hesitate to use her claws if someone she loves is being talked poorly about. She is savagely loyal and it was often whispered that she may have well been in the running to be Leader someday... So how fitting is it that she stepped into the role of a dedicated, ruthless overseer of the Clan's Watch. || The late Peachbell and late Ashtalon's kit; Berryblossom's sister. Ravencrypt's adopted daughter. Half-sister to Muddystomp and Feralblade (in Streamclan). Half-sister to Dawnprayer and Horizonstride. || Swore off taking mates after Inkspell died in the Frostbitten War and is thus why she is now Watch Captain. Her heartache has turned to dedication. || Captain of the Clan's Watch. || Goldenstar. ||
🗻 Co-Captain 🗻 ~Woodtremor- once charming and easygoing but now more critical and quiet, Woodtremor is more like his uncle Venomcall than either of his parents and the older he gets, the more this like the mountain stone he seems to become. He is a lanky, lean bodied tom; lacking the muscular, powerhouse build of his father. He has short, thick, soft brown fur that is crossed with darker brown tabby markings. He also has white paws, a white underbelly, white ears and eyeliner, a white chest, and white under-tail. Woodtremor has a long, fluffy tail, something he gets from his paternal grandfather. Despite his thin, sharp, angular features that he inherited entirely from his mother, Woodtremor is 100% Thorntalon in appearance; right down to his basil green eyes. He, however, has the awkward personality of his late uncle- it's just harder to see now. He was devastated by loss in the Frostbitten War- losing three of his children and also the molly he loved- or so he thought. After taking to the Wall, Strawberryfrost resurfaced and it was not at all a happy affair. She is now hardened and vindictive and is out to destroy not just Woodtremor, but anything and anyone who she feels like has wronged her and this isn't something that Woodtremor takes lightly. During a visit to the Valley some moons ago, he crash-fell in love with Marble- a she-cat who stayed in the Valley from Xhii's Tribe's time in the clan. She had his kits but was ultimately murdered by Strawberryfrost. He is a proud father to his children and he loves them more than they'll ever know. || Crystalsong and Thorntalon's only son. || Heir of Crystalclan. || Widow of Marblefur in Cloudclan- adopted father of her kits: Patchear, Blackthorn and Darkviper (both of Xhii's Tribe), and Vixenstep. Biological father of Oakecho, Poplarprint, and Cedarcloak. || He is the biological father of the late Spottedsquirrel from Strawberryfrost, but he also treats Berry's other daughters like his own. Grandfather of Pecanbriar, Hazelnut, and Cashewfleck. || Co-Captain of the Watch. || Goldenstar. ||
🗻 Medicine Cat(s) 🗻 ~Twilightmoon- Witty, headstrong, and independent, Twilightmoon was the last cat in the clan that anyone could ever have expected to be a Medicine Cat. And that's probably because her mother was one and she resented her for it. Twilightmoon was born from the strained relationship of Jetstream and Troutclaw- now both deceased. Her parents were in love but never became mates due to the fact that her mother was always too busy with work to make time for family; thus explaining Twilightmoon's strained relationship with her growing up. Twilightmoon herself, being from multiple clan backgrounds, is a very interesting cat to look at. She is slender with sleek, silky, velvet-like, blue-silver fur that plumes in some areas and she has a bobbed tail. Her toes are webbed for swimming and she enjoys the water; her ears are even water-log resistant. She has twilight-violet eyes that change color slightly depending on her mood. She became a Medicine Cat because she feels it is her calling and she is very good at it; though she has vowed it will never effect her relationships and won't let it destroy her like it once destroyed her parents. She is extremely close with her brother- Koiflash- in Cloud Valley. Twilightmoon is honored to be the first designated Medicine Cat for the Clan's Watch. She does harbor an incredible secret in that she is deeply in love with Fallowfawn- a molly from Streamclan- and when the Queen had her kits, Twilightmoon snuck them into the Valley and saw them adopted by Peartree and Cherryseed- two loving parents. She keeps her distance to avoid suspicion but taking away- and then keeping an eye on- her kits is the greatest display of love that Twilightmoon can ever give to the she-cat who holds her heat. || Troutclaw and Jetstream's only kit from their first litter. Sister to Koiflash || No kits, is secretly mates with Fallowfawn of Streamclan and is the technical adopted mother to her kits (Lemonrush, Limewood, Clementinecoat, Elderwish, and Boysenberrybranch) in Cloudclan. || First Designated Medicine Cat of the Clan's Watch. || Goldenstar. ||
~Karedynn- a handsome and rugged albino stag who can speak to all animals and understands many human languages. He was a huge help in the Battle of the Forest, as well as the Great Blood War, and took the place of his dear love, Eshiira, as the protector of Cloud Valley when the pretty doe died during the Frostbitten War. This great buck has, for the most part, abandoned his life as a normal deer and has decided to make his home among those of Cloudclan. He is a vital part of the Clan's Watch, choosing to spend the majority of his time with the guardians on the mountains but he does have his own nest outside the Watcher's camp. Karedynn often accompanies Twilightmoon and Demonmark out on their ventures for herbs but his main job is to be a Messenger between Cloudclan's home base and the camp of the Watchers. Karedynn takes his job, and his feline family, very seriously and has even been visited and blessed by Starclan. White stag with color-changing eyes. || Designated Messenger of the Clan's Watch. || Goldenstar. ||

🗻 Watchers 🗻 ~Stagvalor- Bravery and modesty go hand in hand for this tom. Stagvalor was born the smallest of his litter but that just fueled his determination to prove his worth. His dreams of being a Warrior were temporarily put on hold when he was diagnosed with a heart condition as an Apprentice. Running too fast, breathing too hard, or anything else that causes his heart to race can potentially kill him; literally bursting his heart. He has to be careful when exerting himself as he is known to faint from too much physical activity. Despite all of this, as well as being told he will have a short life, he is very optimistic and energetic. Stagvalor got his name for his unusual appearance. He is a dusty brown tom with dark chocolate brown swirling and dark cream paws, muzzle, underbelly, and shading. He is a stout-built tom with long legs. Ironically, he's a very, very fast runner and light and silent on his paws. Stagvalor has dark, forest green eyes that are very lovely to look at. Despite all of his heath issues, he is driven and hard-working; much to his family's objections. Like his mother, he has the traits of a Streamclan cat. Stagvalor's ears are thick with fur on the inside so that they don't easily water-log. His paws are webbed and his fur is water-resistant so that he can swim easily with a streamlined pelt. And of course, this tom loves water. || Cloudtalon and Swanflight's kit. Brother to Clearwater(deceased), Addermask(deceased), and Crowshade. || No mate and no kits. || Senior Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Citrinekiss- Very stubborn and very loyal, Citrinekiss earned her name from the rich, pastel orange-yellow color of her pelt. She earned the kiss as her suffix however, to display how hard her tongue is when she's angry. Citrinekiss is known for her loud mouth and witty attitude. This pretty kitty is basically a feline Dreamsicle, her fur like melted butterscotch and her eyes like molten flame. She has pale cream toes that are designed in splashes instead of neat socks. Citrinekiss also has a cream splash just above her pink nose. Her pelt is mostly flat but the fur that does flare around her chest and her tail is quite fluffy. She is known to be quite mischievous and even defiant at times but there is no denying this she-cat's kind heart. Her soul is with her family and her mind is with her clan. She would easily die defending CloudClan and the generations of her family who have dedicated their lives to protect and preserve it. Citrinekiss might look sweet, but remember... She can bite! The only two people who she probably will never cross would be her own mother and father. Respect thy parents. She joined the Watch after the Frostbitten War when she lost her best friend and sister, Laurelwish. || Lionroar and Gorsewing's kit. Sister to Cinnamonstar, Laurelwish(deceased), Vanilladrop(deceased), and Cypressprayer. Pansexual- poly. || No mate and no kits. || Senior Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Rockshadow- A quiet tom, often perceived as shy, Rockshadow outgrew the rest of his litter-mates through the last two moons of his apprenticeship. He went from being a chunky little cat to a towering, massive slice of Warrior muscle. Despite his large, impressive frame, he is a gentle giant who enjoys his privacy and has a tender spot for the old and weak. He used to spend a lot of his time alone, out in the forest- much to his late mother's dismay. Now he seeks solitude in the harsh climate of the Mountains, as a member of the Watch. He loves to hunt, stalk, and train. He'd rather spend his time trying to hone and refine his Warrior skills rather than be around his clanmates (with few exceptions of course.) He is a deep, shaded gravel-gray color and is a large, stout tom -easily a mirror image of his mother- or his grandfather (especially with his icy blue eyes.) When in camp, he would much rather spend time with his family: aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He takes great pride and joy in his Warrior duties and has a need to stay busy. Rockshadow is a gentle giant but his kind nature should not be confused with his fiery spirit. He is headstrong, stubborn, and often cold due to being made fun of as an apprentice for not having a claimed father. He doesn't take kindly to being made fun of and he has absolutely no tolerance for bullying. It is only when bullying occurs that his nasty temper rears its head. It is his heart, not his blood, that makes him who he is. And as far as he is concerned, all he needs to know is that he is Goldenstar's grandson. No one can tell him different. || Second of Victoryecho's kits. (Arrowmask's son.) Half brother to Cloverblade(Zebrafur) and Valorpledge(Rowanoak). || Hollymoon's secret mate. Secret father to their two kits in Cloudclan: Icedust and Haildapple. || Senior Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Pantherpounce- The least like her father but the most like her Cloudclan family, Pantherpounce was named for an obvious reason. Her pelt is a gray so dark that it almost looks black, but all throughout her fur, she is patterned with black rosettes that resemble that of a leopard. She has bright, piercing blue eyes. She is built a little strange for a she-cat, as she's quite a bit taller than most females but also retains a muscular, lithe, streamlined figure. She has unusually big paws for her body type, a thick tail, long whiskers, big ears, a pretty, wedged face, and plumed cheeks and ear tufts. Pantherpounce is super close to her brother, Lionmane, as well as her mother- Starlinghex. She loves to hear her mother talk about her father and she thinks fondly of Shadowmane and likes to imagine what kind of tom he had to be for her kind, tender-hearted mother to fall so madly in love with him as an apprentice. Pantherpounce wants to serve and protect... No matter what that takes. || Starlinghex's kit by Shadowmane. Sister to Junglevine(deceased and in the Dark Forest) and Lionmane. || No mate and no kits. || Senior Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Almondthicket- incredibly ambitious and extremely determined to be the best he can be, Almondthicket is a handsome tom with unique coloration from his family tree. He is a dark, dreamy cream color and has white front toes and white splashes on his hind paws. He also has faint, white tabby marking that can only be seen in good, bright sunlight. Almondthicket is, in general, very level-headed and down to earth. He isn't much for games but he isn't exactly a stiff either. He enjoys hunting, training, and rebuilding. He has never had any desire to take a mate or have kits, so of course joining the Clan's Watch was the perfect choice for him. He has an intense desire to not only please, but also to serve. Almondthicket inherited very little from his father- besides large Crystalclanian ears. He also has Venomcall's dark, nearly violet blue eyes. He is also a small bit paranoid of getting sick like his aunt, Crystalsong. This is an awkward, mostly antisocial tom that just wants to be a Warrior- and be the best one he can be. He was completely traumatized by the Battle of the Forest and has vowed that he will die before he lets another war like that destroy his home. He is, however, very close to his cousin- Woodtremor. Devoted mate to Doveheart and adoring father to their kits. || Mates with Doveheart in Cloudclan and is the adopted father of her first litter of kits and biological father of her second litter. || Son of the late Honeydrop and late Venomcall. || Heir of Crystalclan. || Senior Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Ivoryfrost- Kind, patient, and sweet as can be, Ivoryfrost is perhaps one of the most innocent cats around. She is polite and courteous and doesn't mind talking at all. And of course her sweet, honey-like voice is easy to listen to and comforting to hear. She is loyal and hardworking and extremely gentle and soft-spoken. When she had been born she and her brother had been raised by their aunt Honeydrop, and both considered her their foster mother and always confided with her. Unfortunately, she and her brother witnessed Honeydrop's death, as she had sacrificed herself to keep them safe, and she has not been the same since. She is so kind that she often can be very gullible and her gentle heart is easily broken. She is known for her incredible ability to like everyone; her only desire is to see the good in every cat. Ivoryfrost is a beautiful black she-cat with white and gray dapples across her pelt. She has huge, emotional golden eyes. || Ravenear and Tinypatch's kit. Twin sister to Ebonyflame. || No mate and no kits. || Senior Watcher. || Goldenstar.|| ~Ebonyflame- Generally quiet unless spoken to, Ebonyflame is still known to be a bit of a hothead. He has a strong respect for Senior Warriors and won't tolerate any type of disrespect dealt to anyone. The only exception to his personal code of respect was Thistlescar, who he constantly warred with whenever they are around each other. This has caused their fellow clanmates to make sure the two are kept apart. While he didn't like the tom when he was alive, he grudgingly admits that he wasn't a horrible warrior now that Thistlescar is dead. This tom, however, is eager to please and always ready to train, proficient in his Warrior tasks and drills. Unlike his sister, he always had a strained relationship with his father, and was by no means sad to see Ravenear leave the clan- nor was he upset when the old tom died. On the other hand, he is extremely close to his sister and defends her aggressively. His best friend is Currentstomp, even though the two toms are so much alike that they bicker constantly. When Ebonyflame left for the Watch, Currentstomp couldn't stand the thought of being so far away from his best friend... so he joined too. Ebonyflame is a handsome tom, with a broad face that makes him look older than he is. He is white with gray and black patches, along with a black muzzle, and amber brown eyes. || Ravenear and Tinypatch's kit. Twin brother to Ivoryfrost. || No mate and no kits. || Senior Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Currentstomp- Bold, outspoken, and freakishly protective, Currentstomp developed a strong need to keep his sisters under his wing from a very early age. And it's only gotten worse with time. After the death of his timid sister, Aquagleam during the Frostbitten War, Currentstomp left the main clan to swear his life into the Watch. He is a major hothead and has a nasty temper that has gotten him in trouble several times for not being able to bite his tongue. Despite his anger issues, he is capable of being a very respectful tom and would never do anything to offend most Senior Warriors. He used to be very close with his father and he had high hopes of one day becoming a Leader. His father's death and his poor leadership skills, however, caused a rift between father and son. Currentstomp is a handsome, dark gray tom with black tiger stripes, white paws, and big, river-gray eyes. || Is the 3rd kit from Creekwind and Littledrop's litter. || No mate and no kits. Brother of Aquagleam (deceased), Coralwish, and Splashpelt(deceased). Half-brother to Dustysmoke(in Xhii's Tribe), Honeyswirl(deceased), Echotrace, and Cherrydapple. Heterosexual. || Senior Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Lionflight- A very sure-footed, accomplished tom. He is confident, loyal, hardworking, eager-to-please and brutally honest. He is very close to his mother and doesn't take her disrespect lightly. He can be easily offended and cant act confrontational. Despite all of that, he has a soft spot for medicine cats and kits. He is a dark golden tom with white toes and a white nose blaze. He has unusual, magenta-colored eyes. He was devastated by Victoryecho's death in the Battle of the Forest- as he truly loved her and the two were going to become mates. Now, distraught by her demise, he has solemnly joined the Clan's Watch in her honor. || Blossomdusk's son by the late Tallstride. Brother of the deceased Tigerleap. Father to a son by Victoryecho that she miscarried before the Battle of the Forest. || Senior Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Ironstep♢- Very solemn, wise, and often intimidating, this tom tends to be more of a gentle giant. All he wants is to talk and make friends and be social so he can truly know everyone. However, Ironstep's freakishly muscular bulk and deep voice makes him scary to most cats. He is a deep, handsome, charcoal gray with solid black paws that all stop at different lengths. His tail is broad and long, his fur short and soft. He has a scar that runs the length of his face from his ear to his chin, crossing through his eye as it bows inward. He has beautiful, bright blue eyes. He is furiously loyal and is a, "Don't give me no attitude" type. Despite this, he is kind and compassionate and will do anything to keep his clan safe. || Previous Clan Leader of BerylClan : 5 lives left. || Spirit Stone- Emerald. || No mate and no kits. || Senior Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Oakspear- a handsome, modest, tenderhearted tom, Oakspear was the only kit born to his older parents- Willowwhisper and Hawkscreech. He was raised with both of them being in the Elder's Den and was nursed from another Queen. This upbringing kept him incredibly humble and kind, as it took many Queens to care for him and both of his parents passed away when he was an apprentice. Despite the early setbacks he dealt with, Oakspear kept a positive attitude and an incredible determination. He was going to be a great Warrior, a great mentor, and a brilliant hunter. And done that he has. Oakspear was often a favorite among the higher up in the clan to mentor multiple apprentices at once. He actually took on Cherrypaw and her siblings after they were distraught by the death of Creekstar. He has a perpetual level head and a very cool demeanor, taking a lot get him upset or work him into a frenzy. He is a large tom with broad shoulders and big paws. He's slightly taller than most other cats in the clan but like the majority of CloudClan's behemoths, he doesn't push his weight around and is mostly a gentle giant. Oakspear is a dark, oak brown tom with white paws, a white chest, white under-tail, white underbelly, and white blaze between his eyes that covers his nose and jowls as well but his chin is still brown. The middle toe on his right forepaw is also brown. Oakspear inherited his looks from his father but got his mother's pastel green eyes. He is a very kind and understanding tom but there is one thing he won't stand for. Never ever lie to Oakspear. || He has a single cousin- Cherryseed- down in the Valley and the two are quite close. He is secretly mates with Ambercreek and is the father to her famed litter of ten. || Senior Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Fawnwhisper- Energetic and eager-to-please, Fawnwhisper is one of the most devoted she-cats you'll ever meet. She is tall and lanky but still holds true to the build and body-type of her lineage; there is no denying the fact that she is part lynx. Fawnwhisper is kind and passionate and tends to really dedicate herself to things that she loves. She is a soft, mousy-brown color though her fur is silky and well-kept. Her pelt is under-toned with shades of darker brown and white which gives her fur a triple-toned appearance. She has darker brown paws, ears, and muzzle; of which is white and her whiskers are black. She has a bobbed, basically non-existent tail. For some odd, cute reason, she has a patch of fur between her ears on the crown of her head that will never stay flat. She has her father's tear-stained markings; black streaks that rim her eyes like eyeliner and run from her tear-ducts to the corner of her lips. Her eyes are hazel but they often shade amber like her father. She's a total Daddy's girl and family means everything to her. || Lynxcreed and Dustpetal's (Banditclan) kit. Silverlark's adopted daughter. || Second kit, the middle-child of her litter. She is Skyfrost and Primrosedawn's sister. Half-sister to Larksong, Ashensky, Eclipselight, Dustdapple, and Stormbringer. || Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Foresthunter- Solemn, heavily independent, and an extreme hot-head, Foresthunter is the wild fire of his family; literally. This tom was found in the same litter as Shadowprism and it's likely that the two of them may be actually blood related but it is unknown. Foresthunter is about four inches taller than his older brother and is a sandy color with black swirling. His pelt is coarse and thick and it matches his jagged personality. He has a really short fuse and can fly off the handle at almost anything. He spends time with his family but they're the only things that seem to calm his constant temper or bring him happiness. He used to spend a lot of his time in the forest with his brother, Shadowprism. Now his time is spent in solace guarding the borders that make up the Watch. No one knows why he's so angry all the time... In fact, he doesn't even know why. He just... Is. Most cats can't handle being around him for extended periods of time because his attitude is so negative. Maybe all he needs is a friend... || Mistystorm and Foxtrot's adopted son. Brother to Tigerstripes(deceased), Shadowprism, Coconutsky(deceased), Nightruby, Brightwish, Weaselsoul(deceased) and Vixenshade. || No mate and no kits. || Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Tawnybrook(Oakripple)- awkward, shy, and soft spoken, this is a very unorthodox kitty cat. Tawnybrook, or Tawny as she is known to by her family and close friends still goes by Oakripple in the Watch as she hasn't... Announced who she really is yet. The timing isn't right. "He" was the only apprentice to willingly join the Watch in order to help during the Frostbitten War and is the first apprentice to earn their Warrior Name under Watcher Vows. Tawny is strange looking and small for "his" size with feminine, almond-shaped eyes the color of warm honey. "He" is a gorgeous brown brindled tom with medium-length fur that is silky and soft. "He" has paler brown fur shading "his" chest, belly, and undertail. Tawny also has long, white whiskers and dark cream eyeliner around "his" eyes. "He" has an oddly high-pitched voice and a slender body. Tawny tried to "fix what was wrong with him" as the male apprentice, Oakpaw, in Cloudclan and the change saved his life as he discovered he wanted to be a she-cat and took on his new identity. Tawny still doesn't talk a lot- hardly at all to anyone outside of her family. Now that she's a Watcher she is dangerously close to Onyxfrost. I wonder why?... || Sibling of Goldwater. Adopted kit of Ebonylove, Koiflash, and Gryffincry. Adopted sister to Dreamweaver. || Transgender female (tom to she-cat). Formally and still cordially known as Oakripple. || Ex-mates with Onyxfrost and biological sire to his kits. || Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Stonecrypt- this is the odd-ball of his litter when it comes to body build and pelt texture. Stonecrypt is tall with broad shoulders and a rather boxy, muscular build. He has big feet, short ears, and a square-jawline across his handsome face. He has short fur that is thick and coarse and is the color of iron. He also has a bobbed tail- something unique to him amongst his litter-mates. He has black points that spiral into his base coat, the darker coloration on his paws, tail-bob, ear-tips, muzzle, and shaded down his spine. He has long, black whiskers and steely gray eyes. Despite his unusual appearance, that isn't really what makes him stand out. Stonecrypt has always acted... Different. As a kit, he really didn't... play. He always seemed to be observing, learning. He is generally very quiet and soft-spoken but oddly enough, Frostedglen insists that he has a beautiful singing voice even though she can't hear him. Those two are very bonded and Stonecrypt is often seen getting Frostedglen out of trouble or close in-step with Reddapple. It is rumored that he is the only kit in the litter who is biologically Crowshade's son and the two are extremely close. Even if this wasn't the case- he's very close to Rowanstar and Coldrise alike and his family means a lot to him. || His mother is Coldrise, his fathers are Rowanstar and Crowshade; his siblings are Reddapple, Littlesmoke, Hurricaneroar, Twilightstream, Prayerkeeper, Frostedglen, Fallenfire, Faithhex, and Phoenixscript. || Potentially gay and doesn't know it. || Watcher. || Goldenstar. || ~Shadestrike- a very intense and interesting tom, Shadestrike takes a lot after the father he never got to meet. He was born and raised in the Valley and takes his part as a Warrior of Cloudclan very, very, very seriously. He comes off as emotionless a lot of the time but it really is just because he struggles to really sort out how he feels or how to express it. Shadestrike is a handsome tom, with a lean, lithe-muscled body build and short, thick fur. His pelt is in a brindled pattern, like his mother, but the colors are much more monotoned. His pelt is comprised of a bend of colors of black, dark gray, and dark brown, giving him a shadowy-like appearance. Shadestrike has black socks on all of his feet and a black mask on his face, accompanied by burning amber eyes. He is very, very close to all of his family and enjoys being around his cousins- even if he doesn't say much when he is. He is very sensitive about not knowing his father though. I wouldn't bring it up if I were you. || Creekflower and Hollowtwist's kit. Litter-mate to Mercuryhollow(Mercury). Sibling to: Frozenfield, Arcticrain, Coldpool, and Hailstorm in Xhii's Tribe. || Bisexual. Pansexual? Poly? I dunno. I don't think he knows either. || Watcher. || Spirit Stone: Ruby. || Goldenstar. || ~Thistlesong- if you could take the word 'sass' and pour it into a perfect kitty mold- you would probably get something identical to Thistlesong. Thistlesong, or simply 'Thistle' as she is lovingly called is the pure spitfire of her litter and nobody really knows where she gets the attitude from seeing as both of her parents are so level-headed. She isn't one to really disobey rules but she will question authority and challenge laws if she feels they need questioning. She is adventurous and reckless and is constantly getting both herself- and her best friend and twin brother- Thickettine- in trouble. Despite her fireball of a personality, she is extremely devoted to her family- her siblings, parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins and she is extremely proud of her linage- despite its darker parts. Now, Miss Thistle is visually stunning, being a perfect blend of both her mother and father. She has Mistletoemelody's stocky, lynx-like build but her father's smaller stature. She has medium-length fur, big paws, thick paw-pads, a fluffy bob for a tail, tuft ears, and dark red lynx-like tear marks that run from her eyes to the corners of her lips. Her fur is an odd color, a brilliant marbled mixing of pale and dark brown with faded red lynx markings across her legs. Most unique about this pretty kitty are her eyes- of which the left is wintergreen and the right is mountain blue. || Thickettine's twin sister. || Mistletoemelody and Riversand's kit. Sister to Thickettine, Poinsettiasilk, Mothcharm, and Tumblemoss. || Goldenstar. || -Thickettine- Thickettine seems like the calmer of the twins, something that normally happens between a pair of close littermates, but truly he's just as sassy as his sister is. The only reason most don't notice it at first is because he isn't as vocal with it as his sister. If you could read his body language and facial expressions well enough, like Thistlesong can, you'd see that he and his sister are almost just as identical as their looks. He also has a terrible habit of loving the chaos his sister brings and is drawn to it like a moth to a flame, hence why the trouble that Thistlesong causes is mainly placed on the both of them. Visually stunning, like his sister, Thickettine is a perfect blend of both his mother and father. He has Mistletoemelody's stocky, lynx-like build but his father's smaller stature- even though he is already showing promise to possibly out-grow his old man. He has medium-length fur, big paws, thick paw-pads, a fluffy bob for a tail, tuft ears, and dark red lynx-like tear marks that run from his eyes to the corners of his lips. His fur is an odd color, a brilliant marbled mixing of pale and dark brown with faded red lynx markings across his legs. Most unique about this pretty kitty are his eyes- of which the left is mountain blue and the right is wintergreen. || Thistlesong's twin brother. || Mistletoemelody and Riversand's kit. Brother to Poinsettiasilk, Thistlesong, Mothcharm, and Tumblemoss. || Treeheart. || ~Icedust- energetic but not overly talkative, Icedust is a very... Familiar tom. He has a large build, with mountain-ready muscle structure, broad shoulders, and a thick coat. He has a square face that is quite stern and handsome and he has smaller ears and dark gray features (nose, paw-pads, lips, and ears.) He has a base color of pale gray with darker gray swirls across his pelt in a classic tabby fashion and white paws, whiskers, and ear-tips. He has big feet and a pretty powerful stride. Icedust has shockingly pale blue eyes, so lacking in color they nearly look white at first glance. Icedust hasn't had an easy life, being the bastard son of a Dishonored Watch Medicine Cat- Icegem. Despite her undesirable title, this tom is still extremely close with his mother and will defend her aggressively. He is very proud to be part lynx as she is (or so he thinks) and he credits that to his large build and weather-defiant features. He is also extremely close with, and very protective of his sister- Haildapple. This is an odd tom with a sheltered way of keeping himself because he's just used to being treated like an outcast- even though Dishonor isn't meant to shame the child of the sinner. Despite his clear parentage, there is something off about this tom that makes many cats take a second look. Many question who the father of Icegem's litter was because, after all... Aren't those Rockstar's eyes?... || Biological parents are Hollymoon and Rockshadow in the Watch. Biological sibling is Haildapple. Is adopted by Icegem but he doesn't know that. || Heterosexual. || Goldenstar. || Sprucetail- Angst, angst and some more angst just for fun makes up this tom. According to his mother, the only reason he wasn't called Thistlekit was because the name was already taken by three cats in the clan by then, so she decided to switch it up. Well, the name change did nothing to water down this ferocious feline. As an apprentice and younger warrior, Sprucetail was a walking tank of anger and spite. No one knows why- not even him. He was just always… angry. It was such a well known fact that no one even bothered trying to hate him for it as no one- not even leaders-were safe from his bad temper. Well… no one but the love of his life, Tallstep. All his fury melted away at the mention of the graceful tom and when he perished in the Frostbitten War, many feared the deadly reaction of the tom- deadly enough to get banished alongside the other traitors if it occurred. Thankfully, it didn't though but in place of the snappy personality was a quiet, cold one. After Tallstep’s death, Sprucetail joined the Clan’s Watch, feeling as if his skills were best at use in a smaller setting. There was another reason though; Sprucetail needed to grieve and he would never be able to fall apart completely in the Clan- his pride wouldn't allow it. Now up on the Wall, where he can have hours and hours alone, he sits there, constantly missing the one cat who could reach his heart. Sprucetail is a lean but short spiky furred gray warrior with pale yellow eyes. He has a scarred muzzle with some permanently missing whiskers, a nick on his left ear and a badger wound on his shoulder that gives him a slight limp. || Watcher. || Mates with the late Tallstep. Uncle to Mahoganyfur. || cowbird.|| Beechpool- Beechpool was born just three moons before the Watch was initiated and was enthralled by the very concept. He always loved the sharp, fresh air of the newleaf mornings and while his peers never understood why or how, Beechpool seemed to excel the colder the weather was. He even begged Woodtremor to mentor him, and was more determined than ever when the tom brought up the fact that Watchers don't take apprentices. As soon as he finished his training, Beechpool enlisted, making him still one of the youngest Watchers and to this day, there is probably no greater promoter of the Watch. “It’s the greatest honor a cat can take- to spend your moons protecting your clan by any means.” Beechpool however wasn't without his admirers as he is a handsome fellow. He’s a simple ginger and white tom with broad shoulders developed by the years and hard, blunt claws- almost like a bear. He also had large yellow eyes. Beechpool is a proud and jubilant character, a rather stark difference from many of his more somber peers and the conditions he works in. He is always willing to help out with the younger Watchers, seeing himself as a sort of mentor for them to get the hang of the lifestyle. || Asexual. Sterile.|| Watcher. || cowbird. || Whitewood- As a kit, Whitewood never understood why anyone would want to join the Watch. A lifetime away from everyone else on cold, wet mountains and scaring off trespassers? It wasn't his cup of tea at all. Yet opinions change and what you think as a kit is almost never what still informs you as you grow older. Whitewood was part of the first set of warriors made after the Frostbitten War and after seeing all the horrors of the undead and the traumatic images of dead and wounded clanmates all around, Whitewood vowed to never let anything like this harm the cats he loved ever again. Whitewood is deeply respectful, regarded the senior warriors and Watchers as StarClan warriors themselves and tasks advice very seriously. He is especially loyal to Ashrain and has grown close to the Captain… hoping maybe one day to fill in her powerful pawprints when she joins the ancestors. Whitewood is pure white tom with black-tipped tufted ears, wide paws and yellow eyes. || Watcher. || No mate, no kits. Open to any relationships/plots. || Heterosexual. || Featherdawn- What a stunning creature! Since she was young, Featherdawn has always been quite the catch and it served its purpose for getting out of trouble with her friends, but didnt exactly sit well with her. If we are clear, Featherdawn was very uncomfortable with the attention she’d get because of her looks. And what were those? Well Featherdawn is a tall, elegant long-haired cat with soft, light fur that looks like baby bird fluff in the sunlight. She is a gray and creamy-white tabby she-cat with clear light blue eyes. At first, Featherdawn was persuaded by her father to be a medicine cat, but when that didn't work out (almost lost her tail to Blackbriar), she trained as a warrior and became very close with her mentor, Duckfeather. At one point, she even fell in love with him- but that dream was quickly eradicated when Featherdawn realized that the hulking warrior wouldn't reciprocate her feelings- simply due to the fact that he was in love with someone else- someone he couldn't have. Fearing the same thing happening to her, Featherdawn joined the Watch and has served there loyally ever since. Still, she’s a romance girly at heart- Cloudstar’s Curse hasn't evaded her it seems. || Watcher. || Heterosexual. || No mate, not kits but if one of y'all has a watchful eye…|| Duckfeather’s second apprentice and one of his best friends. || cowbird. || Hollycloud - A very shy long haired black she cat. She has a single white dash on her chest and a slight red hue to her muzzle. Hollycloud is for the most part quite serious and takes her job as a watcher as if the law was written in her very blood. She is fiercely protective of Cloudclan and what it means to be a clan cat. Though often times she wonders if there is more to life than spending her days on the cold rocky slopes of the watch, she even wonders if maybe she jumped into this position too soon, though she would never admit that to anyone. || Secret mate to Rockshadow, secret mother of Haildapple and Icedust || Watcher || Fawnhearts. ||

🗻 And So My Watch Has Ended 🗻 (Watchers who have Joined Starclan) ~Hawkflight- incredibly independent and ferociously sassy, Hawkflight is the spitting image of her father. She's a tortoiseshell dappled with dark gray, cream, and black fur. She has wild, vivid amber eyes that can go from pale hazel to dark brown with her emotions. Despite her initial appearance, it's actually her attitude that has everyone telling her that she's a carbon copy of her old man. Hawkflight used to constantly fight with her mother because Sapphirebell wanted to take care of her, pamper her, and love her obsessively but Hawkflight didn't understand that her mother fussed over her from the past trauma she feels from losing her mother, father, sister, and mate within a year. Hawkflight can be very aggressive, mouthy, and hotheaded. She despises any type of affection and takes out her bitterness by hunting and feverishly battle training- so joining the Watch was a no-brainer. Hawkflight, despite her rugged disposition, deep down, appreciates the love and support of her family. Even though she truly did love her mother dearly, she still felt a void without the love of the father she was so often told stories about. That void has only spread with the loss of her mother as well during the Battle of the Forest. Just like her father, underneath her layer of grit, there is a kind soul... Somewhere. She joined the Watch to escape the memories of her mother and to be something more than she was. And now as Captain, she has buried herself in her work and leads the band with solidarity and honor. || The late Sapphirebell and the late Hawkpath's daughter. Sister to Mintgem(deceased) and Inkspell(deceased). || No mate and no kits. || Former Captain of the Clan's Watch. Died in the Frostbitten War. || Goldenstar. || ~Drizzledawn- This she-cat is easily identified, not for her looks or her body, but for her voice and her laugh- something that isn't heard too often now since the death of her only remaining sibling and former Captain of the Watch, Darkfrost. Drizzledawn still has one of the purest, most innocent voices that there is to be heard. Even though she doesn't really laugh much anymore, she still will sing on occasion but mostly she just hums under her breath. Drizzledawn tends to sleep away from the other Watchers most days and is only genuinely happy when it's raining- and she still will dance and frolic about in warmer showers. Drizzledawn is shy and soft spoken, but in her increasing age she has been shown to have a gentle spirit and a motherly attitude toward those younger than her. She still enjoys talking with the Elders, Medicine Cats, Queens, and Kits. Oddly enough, she gets along better with those older than her, her best friend having been the late Whitescar. She is very pretty with short, thick fur that is blue-gray in coloration. She has one white forepaw, which is on the right side, and powder-blue eyes. She turned down the opportunity to be the Captain of the Watch- sick with grief over her brother's murder and also intimidated by the amount of responsibility it included. || Glorysky and Snowecho's kit. Sister to the late Cloudtalon and late Lionroar. Also sister to the late Darkfrost. || No mate and no kits. || Former member of the Clan's Watch. Died in the Frostbitten War. || Goldenstar. || ~Crimsonsmoke- A very strange tom to say the least, Crimsonsmoke is more of a loner than anything else and doesn't tend to spend a lot of time around anyone. He harbors a lot of pent up anger, as he was made fun of in his younger days for having a mother who had him as an apprentice and no father. He has seen the cruel side of others and it has made him cold toward most cats. Topazdash, his mother, often told him that he is what she imagined Brickpaw would look like as a Warrior. Crimsonsmoke is a big, muscular tom with a wide head and broad shoulders. Like his father and litter-mates, he has no tail; only a fluffy bob. Like his father, Crimsonsmoke is a very rare calico tom. He is mainly white with huge splashes of crimson and black across his pelt. He also has his father's big, dark green eyes. Crimsonsmoke is the one that Topazdash was the least close to; probably because he looks so much like his father. Crimsonsmoke is a bit of a hothead and can easily fly off the handle at anyone; even his family. A lot his anger stems from the fact that he was told as an apprentice that he'd probably never be able to father kits due to abnormalities in his genes. He likes to spend time away from others. It is alone when he feels the most comfort. He joined the Watch to be away from others, away from bad memories of the war, and to be the best he could be; he could never have kits anyway, so he figured it was his calling. || Son of the Topazdash's and the late Brickpaw. Brother to Canarytrill and Tansypurr(deceased). || No mate and no kits. Sterile. || Former member of the Clan's Watch. Died in the Frostbitten War. || Goldenstar. || ~Splashpelt- Oddly mature and oddly content for her age, Splashpelt appears way more laid back than her sisters. In reality, Splashpelt may take life a little bit too seriously. This is a she-cat that steps on egg-shells to abide by the Warrior Code as well as by the laws of the Clan Leaders and the Clan Watch. She tends to consider herself more intelligent and more mature than most others in the clan, but she'd never be as rude as to say so out-loud. Splashpelt is generally a real worry-wart and tends to over-think, over-analyze, and over-complicate everything. She has trouble just letting go and having fun because she's worried that something bad could happen if she ever let her guard down. Due to her mature but frantic way of thinking, Splashpelt often gets heartbroken from falling in love with older Warriors. Oddly enough, this she-cat is actually very pretty. She is a gray she-cat with splashes of black, dark charcoal gray, and white throughout her pelt that help draw out her sharp, sea-foam green eyes. She joined the Watch to stop breaking her own heart- and also to help be as far away from the carnage her parents left behind as possible. || Creekwind and Littledrop's kit. Sister to Aquagleam(deceased), Currentstomp, and Coralwish. Half-sister to Cherrydapple, Dustysmoke(of Xhii's Tribe), Echotrace, and Honeyswirl(deceased). || No mate and no kits. || Former Watcher. Died in the Frostbitten War. || Goldenstar. || ~Addermask- As smooth as silk and sweet as honey, Addermask often comes off as arrogant and even c0cky when in reality, he's very modest. This is just a very handsome tom who believes in himself, blurring the thin line between confidence and brutal show-boating. He is a little taller than average but not at all thinner; he has streamlined muscle and nimble paws. He is long-legged with a long tail and larger ears than most. Addermask is generally soft-spoken but is very friendly and easy to talk to. He's an excellent secret keeper and is wonderful to confide in. He is a pitch black, silky-furred tom with caramel-bronze colored tabby tiger stripes and copper colored eyes. He earned his name because his pupils are slit more like a snake than a feline which can give him a startling, adder-like appearance. Addermask, like his mother, has the traits of a Streamclan cat. His ears are thick with fur on the inside so that they don't easily water-log. His paws are webbed and his fur is water-resistant so that he can swim easily with a streamlined pelt. Addermask enjoys swimming but prefers the rain. There's a long running joke surrounding him that he's good at catching snakes. || Cloudtalon and Swanflight's kit. Brother of Crowshade, Stagvalor, and Clearwater(deceased). || No mate and no kits. || Former Watcher. Died in the Frostbitten War. || Goldenstar. || ~Clearwater- Sassy and sweet, Clearwater is basically the feline version of a Sour Patch Kid. She can be one of the most beautiful, gentle souls you could ever hope to meet. Just, ya know... Stay on her good side. She's compassionate and friendly, always willing to help and is eager to please. But I would avoid getting on this pretty kitty's bad side. It is NOT something she'll easily let you forget. Clearwater is an all white she-cat with gray eyeliner around her eyes and a pale gray blaze on her nose. She got her name from her bright, waterway blue eyes. Like her mother, she has the traits of a Streamclan cat. Her ears are thick with fur on the inside so that they don't easily water-log. Her paws are webbed and her fur is water-resistant so that she can swim easily with a streamlined pelt. She loves water and is famous for being able to catch fish. Water compliments her attitude, as she can change like the tide and toss and turn like the river but can be as calm as the settled lake. Though she can hold a grudge like no other, once you have a place in her heart... You're there forever. || Cloudtalon and Swanflight's kit. Sister to Crowshade, Addermask(deceased), and Stagvalor. || No mate and no kits. || Former Watcher. Died in the Frostbitten War. || Goldenstar. || ~Darkfrost- Originally named Frostleap, Darkfrost was renamed for his stunning, midnight-blue eyes. Despite the rather dreary name, Darkfrost is actually quite positive. Regal, kind, softhearted, and sometimes playful, this pale, fog-gray tom is often seen with his younger brother, Shadedfur. He has pale white tabby stripes that, when coupled with his pale fur, give him a nearly spirit-like appearance. His voice is soft and soothing and it is said Goldenstar used to call him to sing for the Elder's who were in need of companionship when he was younger. He lost a lot of family during the Battle of the Forest and was the second cat asked to help form the Clan's Watch. He agreed that the clan needed more protection and didn't hesitate to accept the offer. He hasn't been the same since the war, having lost many of his siblings and many cousins. He also saw death and destruction unlike any before it. Despite his actual personality traits, Darkfrost is a very tormented soul now and indulges in his work to try and distract him from his pain. This poor tom even suffers from terrible nightmares, something that not even Twilightmoon has been able to cure. || Glorysky and Snowecho's kit. Brother to the late Lionroar and the late Cloudtalon- brother to Drizzledawn(deceased). || No mate and no kits. Secretly mates with Icegem.|| Killed by Darkcedar and Demonfang. || Former Watch Captain. || Goldenstar. || ~Arrowmask- Kind, polite, and tender, this purebred tom gives off the air that he believes he is better than everyone else though that is not the case at all. He had a tough upbringing, raised as a show cat kittypet to abusive Two-Leg owners. He is a handsome cat, with well-groomed silky fur that is caught somewhere between silver and cream. He is a Lilac Point Balinese tom with faded lilac-gray points and a plumed tail. He is soft spoken and gentle, his kindness and wisdom showing clearly through his soft blue eyes. || Watcher. || Father of Rockshadow by the late Victoryecho. || Died during the Frostbitten War. || Goldenstar. || ^Redpine- Hardened by moons of experience, Redpine isn't the kind of cat you want to take lightly. When he was in his prime, he was a tall, sturdy warrior with deep red fur and piercing green eyes. Over the years, his fur has grown wiry and scarred from battle and a long scar runs down his left eye from The Battle of the Forest. He tells others that his scar is a permanent reminder to him of the hell that occurred in that fight. He's always been a strict, military style attitude type of tom, and you probably have never seen him smile. That is, unless you'd seen him with his beloved, Creamdapple. She was the only cat who could bring him down from his fighting stance and make him enjoy the pleasures of life. The only one who could make him smile. Not even his own son, Rowansky, could replicate the feeling that his late mate gave to him. In fact, if you'd ever felt the strict paw of RedPine come down on you, it would have been nothing compared to how hard it came down on his son. When Rownsky was merely a kit, Redpine knew in an instant that this small, feeble looking child was going to need to be pushed. But even with constant training and a strict upbringing, Redpine knew it wasn't good enough. He figured his only son would end up a mateless medicine cat, or killed in the line of duty. When Creamdapple passed away in the cold winter, Redpine didn't seem as if he was hurting on the outside due to his stern pride, but he had become shattered and hollow on the inside. Soon afterwords, he renounced his warrior status and swore himself to the Clan Watch. He told his son that he would rather die for his clan on the Watch than rot in the elder's den for the rest of eternity. || His mate was Creamdapple, passed away from fever, only son is Rowansky. || Killed by Scarlet and her son. || Rowansky. ||

🗻 Animals Outside the Watch 🗻 ~Karedynn- a handsome and rugged albino stag who can speak to all animals and understands many human languages. || Goldenstar. || ~Lee- a scrawny white and yellow tom who lives in the glen beside the Valley.

🗻 Territory 🗻
The Clan's Watch doesn't have a definitive territory. They will venture down into Cloud Valley to hunt or gather supplies. Generally they stay in and around the crop of mountains that are familiar and hold the Valley. They literally draw a line at the base of 'Cloud Mountain' so that they don't stray too far. Rarely Watchers will go outside of their familiar bounds in search of prey or herbs- but this doesn't happen often since the Valley is more accessible.
🗻 Camp 🗻
* The wind is cold and the rocks are hard on your tender paws. You're not yet used to life on the Watch. But you'll learn fast up here. Walking Westward away from camp, you can see the Watch Tower standing tall in the distance and are aware that there are two Watchers already tending to maintain the tower to make it sturdier and strong. You're padding alongside the wall that stretches on and on for miles, the barrier made of twigs, leaves, carefully places branches, stone, mud, and clay. This structure goes in a large circle, running from the start of the Watchers' camp, all the way around their entire territory, wrapping back to the other side of the camp. A perfect ring of protection for the Valley below. You look around, excited but nervous as you wonder how you'll fit in to the society of dedicated Cloudclanians here. What will your watch have in store for you?... * --- 🗻 Inside the Camp 🗻
The camp for the Clan's Watch is settled where it should be; right in the middle of the clearest path from the ridge of the Blue Mountains to the entrance to Cloud Valley. It is a massive structure that is constantly under construction, as Watchers have to venture down into Cloudclan's main territory to fetch leaves, sticks, twigs, and other things to create a suitable structure out of nothing. Firstly, you are incredibly impressed by the fact that there is a wall, several feet high, that stretches for as far as you an see in either direction away from the Watchers' camp. The top of it isn't level but instead is carved out to make a path for walking across the top. This is the first defense against the outside world as someone would have to get past the wall to be able to enter Cloud Valley; something that is made incredibly difficult by the Watch Towers that are located all around the circle of mountains that hide Cloudclan's main territory. But, you can't even think about that now. This camp... Created from the cold, hard ground, the Watchers' camp is very small and very dense. There is only one true den made of woven sticks, moss, and ivy and from what you can see, it's just one huge nest of down, feathers, and soft plants. The fresh kill pile is heavily stocked and there is a Medicine Cat tending to herbs by organizing them on top of a series of flat rocks. A few paces away from it, these is a cave in the rock facing and the smell of herbs coming from it makes you believe that's the Medicine Cat's Den. Sitting atop a slab of jagged stone, Ashrain is watching the coming and goings of her camp with sharp, green eyes. Behind that ledge of rock, there is another cave- her den. Everything is in constant motion here as the Watchers busily try to update and maintain their home and protect the clan beyond it. Ashrain catches your stare and she nods to you and flicks her head eastward. Feeling excited to venture away from camp to the Watch Towers for your first shift on sentry duty, you pick up the pace and head along the ridge of the Wall. So, your watch has begun...
🗻 Landmarks 🗻
🗻 East Watch Tower- a cat-made hill with a wooden-carved horn stationed atop that allows a Watcher to alert the rest of the force of threats seen in the distance. [Located on the Eastern side of the Wall. Watchers' Territory of the Blue Mountains.]
🗻 West Watch Tower- a cat-made hill with a wooden-carved horn stationed atop that allows a Watcher to alert the rest of the force of threats seen in the distance. [Located on the Western side of the Wall. Watchers' Territory of the Blue Mountains.]
🗻 North Watch Tower- a cat-made hill with a wooden-carved horn stationed atop that allows a Watcher to alert the rest of the force of threats seen in the distance. [Located on the Northern side of the Wall. Watchers' Territory of the Blue Mountains.]
🗻 South Watch Tower(Main Watch)- a cat-made hill with a wooden-carved horn stationed atop that allows a Watcher to alert the rest of the force of threats seen in the distance. [Located on the Southern side of the Wall. Directly on the Wall out of camp. Watchers' Territory of the Blue Mountains.]
🗻 The Boundary- the heavily-drawn line in gem-based white chalk that runs the length of the boarder from the Watchers' Territory and what was formally Bandit Country. It has to be touched up every day and it is forbidden to cross outside it unless given in an order to do so from a Captain. [Located across the entire perimeter between Watchers' Territory and former Bandit Country.]
🗻 Thunderbolt Gorge- a huge separation between two peaks on the Northernmost side of Watcher Land. Only Karedynn is able to successfully navigate down it safely. He will often do so with a Watcher or two on his back to go to the bottom to collect precious cobwebs and thick, succulent moss for the Medicine Cats. It is also the only way to access the Watchers' place to talk to Starclan. It is very dangerous to descend into and many cats have died attempting it alone. [Located at the Northernmost part of Watcher Land, a glen between two mountain peaks. Lee lives here.]
🗻 The Moonchasm- at the bottom of Thunderbolt Gorge, there is a cave that was made my humans hundreds of years ago when a stream ran through the bottom of the canyon. It has been abandoned for centuries and has since become little else than a dark, shiny, moss-covered orifice in the mountain's surface. Covered entirely in soft, plushy moss, at the center of the cave is an old set of branches that had once been used to create fire. Nearly untouched by time, cats from the Clan's Watch can come to the chasm to be close to Starclan. All they have to do is step foot in the cave and they'll be able to contact their ancestors- but be warned, when one does, the nest of branches will light with cold, white fire until the feline has finished their visit into StarClan. [Located at the bottom of the Thunderbolt Gorge.]

🗻Common Watcher Knowledge🗻
🗻 There are four kinds of Watcher Patrols: - Watch Patrols; one or two cats assigned to either the East, West, North, or South Towers for sentry duty. - Hunting Patrols; is what it is. Most frequent parties to enter the Valley outside of meeting times. - Supply Patrols; cats who search and gather supplies for the Medicine Cats or for wall up-keep. - Maintenance Patrols; cats who are assigned to search the Wall for imperfections and upkeep the structure itself. --- 🗻 Dishonor- a term for a Watcher who has been removed from the Wall for breaking their Vows. A Dishonored Watcher is given back to Cloudclan and can never hold a position of power or be given an apprentice. Dishonored Medicine Cats cannot be Medicine Cats in the Valley and must train as Warriors. There is a ceremony for Dishonor where the Watchers will parade the one who has broken their Vow down from the Wall to the Valley echoing "dishonor, disgrace". This is done with intent to humiliate the Watcher and let the clan know that there has been a Dishonor. --- 🗻 Watchers visit the main Valley once a month, during meetings with the other clans. However, Watcher meeting parties are done in sets of three over the course of three days. One group each day so there is always a good number of cats up on the Wall. The Wall is to never ever be without at least five Watchers to protect it- one cat for each tower and one in camp.
🗻 Types of Prey 🗻 🗻 Birds- common (from the mountains).
🗻 Snakes- common (from the mountains).
🗻 Squirrels- fairly common (Valley).
🗻 Rabbits- uncommon (Valley).
🗻 Fish- rare (Valley- doesn't travel well).
🗻 Kinds of Predators🗻
🗻Snakes- common. 🗻 Birds of prey (hawks, eagles, falcons)- common. 🗻Coyotes- common. 🗻Wolves- uncommon. 🗻 Bears- uncommon.

🗻 The Watch Begins 🗻
In the days following the Battle of the Forest, many Medicine Cats and gifted star-readers had incredible visions about the future for Cloudclan and what it would take to protect the upcoming generations. None was more prominent than the dream that came every night to Talonstar. His father and mother would walk with him, telling him all about a plan that Cloudstar had set into motion during his reign as leader- in this very Valley. For a moon or so, every night, this dream continued. At last, with all the information he needed, Talonstar held a council with the Elders, Medicine Cats, other Leaders, and Deputies to discuss what he had learned. Stunned by his proposal but seeing its necessity, the gathered members of Cloudclan came to a unanimous and incredible decision. Cloudclan needed more safety, more security, and the way to do that was something unprecedented, something that hadn't been attempted since the founding of the clan.
This is the story of that induction.
"Thank you all for coming this evening!" the loud, booming voice was that of Talonstar, the great tom settled atop the Highstone with Crowstar and Morningstar to his left and right. At the base of the great rock was all the Medicine Cats and Deputies, all of them staring out across the mass sea of cats who had come to hear the meeting. Everyone was here, from the smallest kit to the oldest Elder. This was a matter of great importance and no one so much as muttered a single word. "I have gathered you this sunset to discuss something that will change Cloudclan history forever as we know it. I need all of your attention for you to understand." As an eerie hush fell across the clearing, a blind, old Medicine Cat stepped forward from the swollen ranks of Cloudclan's most vital and she raised her head and cleared her throat. "Begin, Brindledawn." "Thank you, Talonstar," she said quickly before leading into the announcement. "Listen carefully to what I have to say. Cloud Valley, as you know, has been in Cloudclan's history for generations. It was here that Cloudstar founded this clan and it was here that our ancestors fled when the wolf packs came in and made carnage of our home. Cloudclan has always, and will always, return here. This is our hearth, our safety, our home." She paused. "But then, it wasn't always safe. For you see, the valley is nestled in the heart of the Blue Mountains and though those mighty peaks protect us, they also leave us vulnerable. The valley is a refuge but the only way in or out is through those mountains, down the passageways marked by our ancestors hundreds of years ago. Cloud Valley is no longer a secret haven- for many have discovered our location and that has trapped us here. Because of this, we will be taking extra precautions to keep our home safe... This time- forever." As the blind she-cat's words reverted through camp, many whispers and concerned murmurs broke out through the gathered cats. As the chatter died down, Talonstar again raised his voice; loud and clear for all to hear. "It is to my understanding, as I have walked in my dreams with Cloudstar many a time in this pass moon, that there is something that we can do to help protect the oasis we have here. And the solution is so..." he cleared his throat. "From this day forth, Cloudclan will choose from its most gifted of Warriors to join a ranking of elite guardians. Under oath, these dedicated Cloudclan loyalists will commit their lives to their watch. They will make their home away from the base camp, instead their main place of residence will lie in the mountains. There is a camp to be constructed there and then four individual watch towers; one of the North, one for the East, one for the West, and one for the South. And between each tower, through the mountain tops, there will be a wall created to encircle Cloud Valley and protect the clan inside from attack. This is not a task to be taken lightly," Talonstar warned as many cats began to whisper among themselves. "For many cats, Cloudstar told me, died during their term on the Clan's Watch." "And what about the Watchers?" the voice came from the middle of the crowd. It was Rattail, the oldest cat in Cloudclan. "Will they have a clan structure like the main base?" "Yes, will there be a leader among them?" this was Peachbell, Cloudclan Deputy, who spoke. "There will be two or three Captains appointed to guide the Clan's Watch," Talonstar replied coolly. "I will select them from previous clan performance. And as for rankings, one to three Medicine Cats will go with our brave Watchers to keep them well and strong upon the wall. I will also select those cats. As far as the Watcher Corps themselves... Any cat who is of age to be a Warrior will have to pass a series of physical and mental assessments before being allowed into the Clan's Watch. And there are stipulations to this honor..." at this, Talonstar trailed and nodded to Crowstar, who stood and lifted his head. "A member of the Clan's Watch gives up their right to a normal life upon joining the cause," he began. "You will only come down from the mountains once a moon to see your family. Over a course of three days, three different teams of Watchers will come down to visit the main camp, interchanging so that there is always one party up at their post. There is no exception to this and any Watcher found to be off their post on the wall will be Dishonored from the Watch and dismissed back to main base under the pretense of improper conduct for discharge. If you already have a mate and kits, I seriously have to discourage you from joining the Watch- as you will only see your family once a day every month unless it is of urgent news. Also, to add onto that... If you are not already part of a family unit... As a Watcher, you swear to never take a mate or kits in order to dedicate yourself to the Watch." At this news, a few wails of disapproval broke out, followed by cries of rage. "You also vow to give up anything that is a selfish, fleshly desire. You will never stake claim to land or territory- your only reason for being is to defend the mountains, maintain the wall, and keep Cloudclan safe. You will never strive to be a Deputy or a Leader- your only focus is to the Watch. It becomes who you are- a member of the Clan's Watch." At this, again, the group of cats grew silent. "Who is it then that you have chosen to found this organization?" it was Goldspinner, a former Berylclan Warrior, who spoke up this time. "Yes, who are the Captains!" came the cries from all around. Talonstar raised a paw and the echoes of voices silenced. "Thorntalon- First Captain." At Talonstar's announcement, there were many murmurs of agreement but one wail from somewhere in the back. Crystalsong, Thorntalon's mate, dropped her head and began to cry, knowing that her beloved's commitment to the clan outweighed his desire to be near her. He would do what was asked of him and go away to the mountains to lead the Clan's Watch. "Darkfrost- Second Captain," it was Crowstar who spoke and his uncle, Darkfrost, nodded approvingly, accepting the title. "We have not yet decided upon a third Captain," it was the third, youngest leader- Morningstar- who addressed the gaping sea of felines this time. "But we have chosen Twilightmoon to become the designated Medicine Cat of the Clan's Watch. She will be the only one until others pass their assessments. If she will accept?" "I do accept," Twilightmoon replied from the base of the Highstone. "I consider it an honor... Thank you." "And now... If you three will come forward please..." All three leaders jumped down from the Highstone. At once, Darkfrost, Thorntalon, and Twilightmoon had come to face them. Morningstar faced the Medicine Cat, Talonstar faced Thorntalon, and Crowstar faced Darkfrost. All three of them spoke in unison. "Now, repeat after me." The trio of chosen cats nodded. "Night gathers- and now my watch begins." "Night gathers- and now my watch begins." "It shall not end until my death." "It shall not end until my death." "I shall take no mate, hold no lands, have no children." At this, Thorntalon paused and Talonstar lifted his head. "Thorntalon is excused from this portion; as he has a mate and kits. By repeating the statement, Thorntalon, you swear to not sire another litter and understand that by joining the Watch- you will see your family very little. It is a sacrifice, my son... And one that I will understand if you cannot make." Thorntalon looked over his shoulder, at Toxicflash, Woodtremor, and Crystalsong. All of them nodded slowly to him and he knew he had their trust. He turned back around, his eyes blazing as he faced the leader. The three of them spoke together. "I shall take no mate, hold no lands, have no children." "I shall wear no crowns and win no glory." "I shall wear no crowns and win no glory." "I shall live and die at my post." "I shall live and die at my post." "I am the blade in the darkness." "I am the blade in the darkness." "I am the Watcher on the Wall." "I am the Watcher on the Wall." "I am the shield that guards the hearth of my clan." "I am the shield that guards the hearth of my clan." "I pledge my life and honor to the Clan's Watch." "I pledge my life and honor to the Clan's Watch..." "For this night and all the nights to come." "For this night and all the nights to come." Talonstar touched his nose to Thorntalon's forehead and Crowstar did the same for Darkfrost, just as Morningstar mirrored the action for Twilightmoon. All of them felt a surge of ancient power unlike any they had ever known. A moment later, all three of the leaders had lifted their paws and delicately, with a single claw, traced a crescent moon mark across the nose of their respecting partner. None of the trio flinched from the sting. "And now..." Talonstar said in a voice that sent an eerie hush across the shocked clan. "Your watch begins."

In the later, sunny hours of the day, Ashrain poked her head into the Medicine Cat's Den. "Demonmark?" the Watch Captain called curiously. "Demonmark, you have a visitor. It's Darkwater from Streamclan- something about exchanging herbs."

Sprucetail- Angst, angst and some more angst just for fun makes up this tom. According to his mother, the only reason he wasnt called Thistlekit was because the name was already taken by three cats in the clan by then, so she decided to switch it up. Thankfully, it didnt though but in place of the snappy personality was a quiet, cold one. After Tallstep’s death, Sprucetail joined the Clan’s Watch, feeling as if his skills were best at use in a smaller setting. There was another reason though; Sprucetail needed to grieve and he would never be able to fall apart completely in the Clan- his pride wouldnt allow it. Uncle to Mahoganyfur. || cowbird.||
Beechpool- Beechpool was born just three moons before the Watch was initiated and was enthralled by the very concept. He always loved the sharp, fresh air of the newleaf mornings and while his peers never understood why or how, Beechpool seemed to excel the colder the weather was. He even begged Woodtremor to mentor him, and was more determined than ever when the tom brought up the fact that Watchers dont take apprentices. As soon as he finished his training, Beechpool enlisted, making him still one of the youngest Watchers and to this day, there is probably no greater promoter of the Watch. “It’s the greatest honor a cat can take- to spend your moons protecting your clan by any means.” Beechpool however wasnt without his admirers as he is a handsome fellow. ||
It wasnt his cup of tea at all. ||
At one point, she even fell in love with him- but that dream was quickly eradicated when Featherdawn realized that the hulking warrior wouldnt reciprocate her feelings- simply due to the fact that he was in love with someone else- someone he couldn't have. Fearing the same thing happening to her, Featherdawn joined the Watch and has served there loyally ever since. Still, she’s a romance girly at heart- Cloudstar’s Curse hasnt evaded her it seems. || Watcher. || Heterosexual. || No mate, not kits but if one of yall has a watchful eye…|| Duckfeather’s second apprentice and one of his best friends. ||

[[Inactive Cats]]
^Reddapple- Carefree and a bit on the wild side, Reddapple is a little kit with a huge taste for adventure. She's a tall kit, with a slim body and messy red fur that her mother can never keep upkept. She has a short, bobbed tail, cream colored freckles, and a rich green gaze that she inherited from her grandfather. It's hard to keep this one out of trouble, as Reddapple is always running off and looking for something to explore. She's been caught countless times trying to get a sneak peek outside of camp, and is usually in trouble quite often because of it. Even through her carefree spirit, however, she still has a kind heart and a natural instinct to help others. She dreams of becoming a watcher one day, so that she can get a taste of what's outside of CloudClan's territory. Her parents remind her that she won't be able to take a mate in that case, but she never seemed interested in one in the first place. || Mother is Coldrise, Fathers are Rowanstar and Crowshade. Littlesmoke, Hurricaneroar, Twilightstream, Prayerkeeper, Faithhex, Frostedglen, Stonecrypt, Fallenfire, and Phoenixscript are her litter-mates. || She was named after her grandparents Redpine and Creamdapple. || Asexual || Watcher || Rowansky ||
^Onyxfrost♢- Onyxfrost is a tomcat who's prideful and eager to prove himself to those who would doubt him. He stands tall, with a long, jet black pelt, and a long, flowing tail. His muzzle, paws, and chest are pure white and his eyes are a frosty white with blue rimming his pupils and flecking throughout his eyes. He's usually pretty goodnatured, and often sarcastic. However, if you mention his family he will grow sullen, and if you make him angry, he won't hesitate to fight you. When he was younger, he told his parents that he felt like a tom, rather than a she-cat, but they never took him seriously. When his father died fighting for Berylclan in the great war, his mother became overly protective of him and begged him to train as a Medicine Cat to keep him safe. But Onyxfrost never wanted that life. He wanted to prove that he was as much as a tom cat as his father was, so he opted to join the Clan's Watch. Not only because he wanted to protect his clan, but because he was heartbroken that even after his father's death, his mother still refused to accept him as the tomcat he is. Shortly afterwards, his mother passed away unexpectedly. Medicine Cats say that shortly after Onyxfrost left for the wall, his mother went into a deep depression and didn't eat, nor drink. They believe that the heartbreak of losing her mate killed her, but Onyxfrost blamed himself because he wasn't there for her. He secretly still lives with the haunting question.. "Could I have saved her?" || Son of Citrinelight and Onyxfeather || He'll only tell you once. If you continue to call him a she-cat after that, you'll lose an ear. Don't ever ask him what his name used to be, he'll kill you. || Ex-mates with Tawnybrook. Biological mother to their kits. || Watcher || Rowansky. ||
^Ravenblade- Pride and valor. These are the principles that Ravenblade's family has stood for since the dawn of CloudClan. The last of his line, Ravenblade dedicates his life to preserving his family's legacy, but also lives in shame for not being able to continue on his bloodlines. Ravenblade stands tall and true, with feathered out raven black fur and deep, dark blue eyes. He has a long, feathered out white tail, which is his only nonblack part of his pelt. A quiet type, Ravenblade comes off as intimidating when you first meet him. His voice is deep and smooth, and he always talks as if he's saying something important. As scary as he comes off, however, he's actually a very kind tom, who really lets his soft side out around children. He was once an ambitious warrior, who spent his time training and working to make a difference in camp. He'd always talk about raising kits and moving on his family line. He even had a lovely mate, Turquoiseheart. One day, however, he suddenly decided to join the wall. Nobody knew why, as Ravenblade declined to say anything. He'd suddenly given up everything he'd always wanted to go join a group of kitless, mateless cats on the wall. If you asked Turquoiseheart why Ravenblade left her, she would just shake her head and smile. Though they split up, Ravenblade still sees Turquoise as one of his closest friends and would do anything for her. || Ex mate of Turquoiseheart. No children || Watcher|| Rowansky. ||
Hollycloud- A very shy long haired black she cat. || Secret mate to Rockshadow, secret mother of Haildapple and Icedust in Cloudclan. || Watcher || Fawnhearts. ||
^Marblepatch- Being an absolutely massive brute of a cat, Marblepatch looks as if he could take down and entire fox just by laying on top of it. He was born a very hefty and muscular kitten- and didn't stop growing until he was big enough to put away entire rabbits by himself. He's not the tallest cat in camp, but he certainly is one of the bulkiest. He usually has to go out and catch his own food so that he doesn't take from all the rest- which is difficult for him given his size slows him down quite a bit. Marblepatch earned his name through his unique coloration. He's a fluffy tomcat with black splotching, black paws and ear tufts, and a black 'mane' and stripe going down his back. He has a long, fluffy white tail, white toes, and a white face with grey spots around his eye and nose and a white patch on his chest and a white underbelly. He has a large patch of fur missing from around his left eye from a fight he'd gotten into with a badger, a small scar across his lip, and a long thin scar running down his shoulder. His eyes are a dull yellow color that droop slightly, making him look perpetually tired. He doesn't talk much, and usually responds in nods when given orders. He gets hot super easily given his thick pelt, so when the watch was formed Marblepatch swore his loyalty to the watch to go live up on the cold mountain where he was the most comfortable. Given his size and strength- He works mostly as a builder where he hauls materials for patching up the wall and repairing dens. He may look like a grumpy old tomcat, but he's actually a very loyal and dedicated member of the watch. He would absolutely die for his captain, Ashrain, if he had to- and is very protective of her and her authority. Some think he has feelings for her, but in reality he just respects her as a captain and as a friend. || No family, no mate or kits || Sexuality unknown- never shown much interest in romantics || Watcher || Rowansky ||

It wasnt his cup of tea at all. || (I love literally all of them.)

Ashrain stretched as she padded from her den in the early rays of morning sun. Already the Watcher Camp was bustling with activity. Twilightmoon was preparing herbs and Lionflight was sharing a lark with Pantherpounce. They dipped their heads as their Captain walked by and she approached her Co-Captain, Woodtremor, whilst he shared tongues with his cousin- Almondthicket. Almondthicket wasn't well liked among the Watchers. It wasn't for his lack of work ethic or desire to help. He was a great scouter and never complained about early or late patrols. He never minded to hunt or help Twilightmoon with her collecting. The reason Almondthicket was ostracized was because he was a technically Dishonored Watcher who had broke his vows. He had a living mate in the Valley who was pregnant with his second litter. But his punishment, as assigned by Ashrain herself, was to stay on the Wall away from his family. It wasn't a well-liked decision but few properly spoke against it.
Woodtremor nodded when the captain approached and lifted his head. "Good morning, Captain! Today is the first day for pre-meeting. I've already lined up the Watch patrols for the day. I have Lionflight and Pantherpounce on East Watch, Beechpool and Tawnybrook in South Watch, Almondthicket and Rockshadow on West, and then myself and Featherdawn on North."
"Make the sentries one a-piece. We'll take a bigger group down to the Valley for day one so they can be refreshed for tomorrow." Woodtremor nodded.
"Almondthicket, you, Lionflight, Tawnybrook, and Featherdawn will come down to the Valley on our first set." The Captain raised her voice so her gathered could hear her. "Watchers- listen up! First patrol to the Valley leaves now. Karedynn has already gone ahead for us. First patrol is: myself, Almondthicket, Lionflight, Tawnybrook, Featherdawn, Rockshadow, Sprucetail, Ivoryfrost, and Ebonyflame." She flicked an ear and turned her gaze toward Woodtremor. "You and Pantherpounce have the Watch until we return."
"Yes, Captain."
"Watchers! Move out."
(I'll make a post on Cloudclan's page as well to continue this.)
---
As the Captain disappeared with her patrol, Woodtremor shook out his coat and looked at the remaining Watchers. He leaped atop the Highledge and cleared his throat. "Let's have a nice, easy day, everyone! Be rested and well for our Valley-visits over the next two days. It's Anlach season so expect lots of food and festivities."
"Behave though. Remember your vows," Pantherpounce added and Woodtremor nodded vigorously.
"We have heard news from the Valley that we will have new Watchers coming back to take their vows tonight."
"Oh, wonderful news!" called Oakspear. "How many?"
"At least three."
"Great!" Citrinekiss, one of the Watch's most senior members, called out with a purr. "We're really picking up speed!"
"We'll need it. We need to make sure the Wall is strong and sturdy for the winter. The cold times have been more ferocious each years since the Frostbitten War. We must stay vigilant. Our failure to spot the holes in the Wall during leafbare is what allowed the fox in that injured Quillkit and Antlershard and also killed Icegem."
There was a moment of silence for the Dishonored Watcher who had lost her life trying to protect her clan. "We must stay vigilant." He shook his head. "The sentry patrols will be scarce today. So only one Watcher per shift."
"Yuck," groaned Foresthunter. "I always fall asleep when I'm by myself!"
"Starting the morning sentries will be: Fawnwhisper on East Watch, Oakspear on North, Beechpool on South, and I'll take East Watch. Pantherpounce will be on camp duty and I need someone to escort Twilightmoon..."
"I'll be fine on my own," Twilightmoon purred softly. "Thank you though. Use the Watchers you have for other matters."
"Very well then," Woodtremor purred fondly. "Stonecrypt, you and Citrinekiss will run the hunting patrols. Take..." he pondered for a moment. "Foresthunter with you."
"Got it!"
"Night watch will be Whitewood on East, Ironstep on West, Stagvalor on North, and Currentstomp on South. When Whitewood relieves me from my Watch, I'll pull a double and be a scout. Whitewood, can you take..."
"I don't mind the double-shift," Stagvalor offered. "I'll run maintenance with Whitewood." Woodtremor blinked thankfully at the older tom.
"Everyone know their assignments for the day?"
"Yes sir!"
"Alright. Break up and move out!" Woodtremor bounded down from the Highledge then took off toward the end of camp to make his way to East Watch. Stagvalor picked his way over to Whitewood, his emerald green eyes kind as they always were.
"Ready to check this wall?" he asked his friend with a bump to Whitewood's hip.

Chriss
(This is soooo exciting. Its a weaker reply but you can make the best out of it like you always do)
Beechpool was quick as he always was; Woodtremor’s breath had hardly left his body before the ginger and white cat already began sprinting away, clearly eager to start the day and get catch the cleaner, sharper morning air.
Whitewood however was not as robustly ready for the day as his older clanmate. He was a hard worker of course as Ashrain and Woodtremor expected nothing less from their Watchers, but the mornings were never exactly Whitewood’s forte and he had a inkling the Captains knew that- which is why it was rare to see him being listed from sentry duty during the mornings.
The leggy white tom was hunched blearily as he watched the hasty movements of Beechpool, vaguely aware of Stagvalor padding towards him. “I really dont see where he get his energy so early. One would think he eats a squirrel every dawn the way he’s up and running already,” the Watcher muttered. He flicked his tail across Stagvalor’s flank in greeting and stifling a groan, heaved to his paws and fell in step with the old Watcher. “Well I’m certainly ready now that I’m awake,” Whitewood replied, chuckling a little as the two made their way out of camp. “It isnt like I have much of a choice… though I will say, I don't envy Ashrain’s patrol. Making the trek to the Valley was literally the worst in leafbare and Sprucetail hasn't missed one in seasons!”

The watches of day one of the moonly clan visits had been long and hard. Woodtremor was nearly asleep on his paws come the next morning when he crawled back into camp with Beechpool and Whitewood at his side. They'd all worked hard to prep everything for the captain's return... and for the next party of Watchers to head down to the Valley.
Ashrain padded into the camp with her head held high and a proud look in her eyes. Behind her, four new faces were padding along the line of familiar Watch brothers and sisters. Citrinekiss stirred excitedly beside the others as Ashrain wasted no time in leaping atop the Highledge, her green eyes shining bright. But then, Woodtremor froze. He recognized one of the cats and leaned over to hiss to Whitewood. "Isn't that Icedust? He's Icegem's bastard..."
"May all able Watchers gather here beneath the Highledge for a Wall meeting!" Ashrain's voice echoed and it silenced Woodtremor. He blinked knowingly at the white tom he was talking to then headed off to take his place under the Highledge. He lifted his head as the four newcomers settled at the front of the group. But then he noticed someone was missing. Twilightmoon wasn't at his side. Where was she?...
"Today is an incredible day for the Clan's Watch of Cloud Valley!" The Captain called. "For at the end of the night, we will have four new brothers and a sister to stand strong and defend our clan and protect our kin. Thickettine, Thistlesong, Shadestrike, and Icedust... will you step forward, please."
When Icedust's name was said, a few low whispers spread through the back of the Watcher crowd. They recognized the tom. They knew his name. And his story.
Icedust trembled on nervous paws as he stepped forward with his cousins. He stood beside Thickettine with Shadestrike on his right. Thistlesong took the end cap, her eyes glistening with a mixture of nerves and pride.
"Do you pledge to honor our Creed, to defend this Wall, and protect our clan- even at the cost of your life?"
"I do." Came the unified answer.
"Do you swear to be a shield for the Valley- to be willing to fight and die to keep our kin below safe from whatever may be in the dark?"
"I do!" Came the reply again.
Ashrain nodded. "When you are ready, repeat after me, and we'll recite your vows."

Whitewood met his friend’s look with his own glance of unease as the son of the late disgraced Watcher followed at the end of the group of new recruits. Icegem’s betrayal of her oaths had rattled the Clan’s Watch as just how easy she had been able to hid her pregnancy and how one day, she showed up in the camp with two little gray kits at her paws. Whitewood had been one of the newest recruits back then and his own fresh determination to serve seemed to crumble a little- if one of the most senior members at some point failed to do uphold their sacred promises, was it all worth it?
Whitewood watched now, with apprehension tightening his chest as Ashrain proudly listed the four names and the quiet, but notably conflicted whispers that erupted when Icedust’s name was called. He seemed formidable- wide, powerful limbs and a promising warrior back in the Valley. But the Wall, as formal and rigid as it was, was still part of the Clan and operated as such. Whitewood didnt know any cat who had been shunned while being part of their group… but then again Icedust of all cats joining an already fragile, scandal-ridden institution wasnt lost on the normally straightforward tom and he knew that his fellow Watchers knew the same. I pray he made the right choice, the white tom wished half-heartedly as the four young cats began to recite their vows before Ashrain and Woodtremor.
Little ways off, Spurcetail was glowering as he often did, at the four new cats. Specifically Icedust. “I know I’m going to sound like an old badger again,” rumbled the aged Watcher with a dismissive flick of his matted tail. “But the boy is out of place here.” He shifted his gaze to Ashrain and she spoke and nudged Currentstomp. “I wonder how long she must have known he was going to join. Knowing her, she had to have seen this coming.”

Pulling himself from their family was an aching process. Even afterwards, leaving camp and following the band of Watchers up to their camp... his paws felt a bit heavy at first. It made it so... real. Padding through the Valley, closer and closer to where the Wall stood. He'd never been so close to their barrier between their sanctuary and the Mountains. And the closer he drew to it, the more it sunk in that this was to be his home now. This was to be his post.
He couldn't help but subconsciously drift closer to his twin during the journey. He remembered their youth, rolling and playing in the Valley. The Watch had sounded more like a story back then, except for the few times some cats would appear, weathered and stern. He didn't regret their decision, not in the slightest... but he was still tense. Nervous. His life was taking a completely different course than he could ever imagine.
But this will be a good course. Him and Thistle. They'll be fine.
The nerves came back in a wave once they actually reached the camp. The Watch may be a fairly small group - especially in comparison to the immensity of Cloudclan proper - but there were certainly eyes. Eyes that stared hard at the new group, as if already scrutinizing them, piercing their pelts. Tine supposed cats would start to look anyone who joined the Watch side ways after the... many Dishonored, especially in recent times. They would look and wonder how long these cats would last. How long until they broke their vows too.
Not me, Thickettine tried to steel himself, keeping his gaze mostly on Ashrain. I'm going to keep my vows.
The whispers began quickly, even before Icedust's name was mentioned. Thickettine felt awful for his cousin, though a sense of guilty relief also crept in. Relief that it wasn't him they were whispering about.
He spoke his "I do"s as firm and proudly as he did during his Naming Ceremonies, forcing the anxieties from his mind for the time being.
His Watch was barely beginning. He needed to face it head on.

Once all four cats had stated their "I do's", Ashrain lifted her head and closed her eyes. "Repeat after me."
Thistlesong dipped her head and Shadestrike shuffled his paws nervously while Icedust held Ashrain's gaze with his steady, icy blue pools. They were ready.
"Night gathers- and now my watch begins."
"Night gathers, and now my watch beings."
"It shall not end until my death."
"It shall not end until my death."
"I shall take no mate, hold no lands, have no children," Ashrain's voice held heavy emphasis on this line and Icedust felt the fur along his spine spiking.
"I shall take no mate, hold no lands, and have no children."
"I shall wear no crowns and win no glory."
"I shall wear no crowns and win no glory."
"I shall live and die at my post."
"I shall live and die at my post."
"I am the blade in the darkness. I am the Watcher on the Wall. I am the shield that guards the hearth of my clan."
"I am the blade in the darkness. I am the Watcher on the Wall. I am the shield that guards the hearth of my clan."
Ashrain paused for only a moment, taking in these four faces of the young cats before her. She nodded. "I pledge my life and honor to the Clan's Watch- for this night and all the nights to come."
"I pledge my life and honor to the Clan's Watch- for this night and all the nights to come."
Ashrain lifted her head. "And now your watch begins."
"And now your watch beings!" echoed the seasoned Watchers as the Captain leaped down from the Highledge and padded forward to greet her new Watchers. All around them, the crowd dispersed into different groups as she offered the four a small smile.
"Thank you for joining our cause. I know the Watch isn't glamorous... but it's home. And it's important. It means so much to have new blood up here." She blinked softly at them. "Thickettine, you and your sister will take East Watch. Shadestrike, I'll send you on maintenance with Whitewood and Citrinekiss. Icedust?" she held the tom's gaze with a smile. "You'll take South Watch with Rockshadow."
The gray tom, who had been eavesdropping, nearly froze solid.
"These are just introduction shifts- not full ones. I'll come get you to rest after a few hours. Tomorrow we'll give you an official tour. I would let you rest right now but the patrols are tired from the meeting and we are spread rather thin up here. Believe it or not, having four extra sets of sturdy backs is a difference maker. Truly, it means the world to me that you've come. Thank you. Do you all have any questions for me?"
"I have so many," Shadestrike chuckled. "But I can ask Whitewood or Citrinekiss. I'm sure there's plenty of time to talk up on the watch tours, hm?"
"That's right!" Ashrain chuckled. "It's a good way to make friends, I'll tell you that." She flicked an ear. "Whitewood! Citrinekiss, Rockshadow, can you all come here please and help escort our new members where they need to go?"

(I forgot to reply to this oh dear)
Ever the dutiful, Whitewood shook the doubt that had clung to him and strode over calmly to where Ashrain was nodding off to Shadestrike and his peers. Citrinekiss was already there and usually the white warrior would hold off, letting the senior Watcher lead the way and all the formalities, but a sudden and rather odd surge of excitement bubbled up in Whitewood. These were the biggest group of new recruits he’d ever seen since he joined the Watch! A bit of the hope he and Woodtremor saw in Ashrain’s eyes began to blossom- maybe the Watch wouldnt struggle forever.
He reached Shadestrike with a welcoming grin. “Hi- I’m Whitewood. It feels weird saying this cause I’m like, ages, older than you but I just had a good feeling about this,” he mewed, signaling between the young tom and himself. He looked over briefly to Citrinekiss with a blink of greeting before surging on. “Ashrain wasnt joking when she said the Watch wasnt a pretty place. It’s cold a lot up here and catching prey with no undergrowth to hide- espeically for a cat as bright as me- is gonna be a challenge.” Sometimes that’s the least of your worries, he wanted to add. It was already daunting enough though- Shadestrike still had to sleep at night after all.
Whitewood twitched his whiskers as he flickered his gaze to where Rockshadow was already pelting out of camp with Icedust on his tail. “So where should we start Citrinekiss? Down near the forest of should we check some of the towers first?”
