Miss Cass<3 A soft smell of lavender and honey drifted into the Apprentice's Den as a long-furred cream she-cat walked across the smooth wood on nearly silent paws. Lightpaw, a broad pale yellow tom, lifted his head and recognized the she-cat as Avenbraid- one of Goldenclan's most devoted and fierce Warriors. He flicked an ear toward her in greeting then he leaned over and prodded Sablepaw in the shoulder. "Your mentor's here," he whispered in a hushed hiss but it was no use, for the molly stepped around the sleeping apprentices and rasped her tongue affectionately over the cream and brown tom's ear. "Wake up, little one," she purred to her apprentice. "It's time to start the day!" ~ "Priss?" the soft mew came from a pretty dark gray she-cat with white spots across her flank. She dipped into the nursery, a fat squirrel hanging from her jaws. Frostdaisy, another nursery Queen, lifted her head when the apprentice entered. For whatever reason, this particular 'paw had seemed rather taken with the former kitty-pet from the moment she arrived. A pang of pity in Frostdaisy's belly made her think that it was because this young she-cat - Starlingpaw - was an orphan and she probably felt she had something in common with the poor mateless Queen who had come to the park alone and afraid. Frostdaisy, despite the slow rumble in her belly, said nothing as Starlingpaw settled down beside the former house-cat and began to pluck the fur from the prey. "How are you feeling?" she asked Priss in her usual kind, gentle tone. "Are you settling in any better?"

Nightflower- Tall, slender molly with long fur and an unusually long tail. Her fur is a mix of orange, black and white. The left side of her face is orange, with a little of the orange spreading over to the right side of her face. The right side of her face is black. She has thick white fur on her chest and around her paws. She has large amber eyes, that are constantly shining. She has no left ear, as it was shredded during battle. Her fur is a mixture of fluffy and feathery. While she is a gentle she-cat, with a soft touch and a quiet voice, she can have her moments of harshness. || Sablepaw || The marbled brown tom was curled up tight in his nest, swept up in slumber and pretty much dead to the world around him. Even as Lightpaw prodded at his shoulder, it only barely seemed to drag him from his sleep. A drowsy murmur escaped the young tom, trying to shake away the remaining cobwebs of sleep that dragged at his mind, threatening to pull him back under – that is, until he felt a tongue rasping at his ear. "Wake up, little one. It's time to start the day!" A noise of indignance rather akin to a squeak escaped the apprentice, a little too late to be able to duck away. Immediately, his head rose, leaning back as one paw swiped over the same ear in bemusement. Any drowsiness was quickly chased away, caramel hues blinking rapidly to rid the sleep from his eyes. As everything begun to dawn on him, he realized the voice of his mentor standing above him. Avenbraid. Truthfully, he took pride in the fact that she was his mentor; there was no cat he looked up to more within the clan, even if his arrogance tended to prompt him to hide it. Biting back a yawn, the apprentice clambered to his paws, arching his back in a luxurious stretch to chase away any stiffness left in his limbs. “Alright, alright, m’up,” he mumbled nonchalantly, shaking out his fur. Raising his tail high, he moved to fall into step with her. “What are we doing today?” Sablepaw tried to feign a cool tone, yet curiosity was seeping heavily over his voice, as thick as freshly harvested honey. || Priss || The past few sunrises had blurred together for the young Queen. Lost and bedridden, she would hardly leave the nest set up for her in the nursery. She couldn’t bring herself to, even as her limbs grew stiffer, and bracken pricked uncomfortably through her fur. The idea of leaving the confinements of the room was just...too painful. The smells, the voices, the—albeit friendly—faces; all of it was just another reminder of how final her situation was. At least here, she got some solace. In the dark, hidden away and left to her thoughts, she'd remain curled up in a tight ball; well, as tight as she could with her belly getting bigger and bigger with unborn kits by the day. Despite sharing the space with other queens, she may as well have been lost in her own little world. The thought of her circumstances would leave her heart aching, thinking back to her former life almost as painful as if a cat's claws had ripped her heart straight out of her chest. Yet, confliction would arise as she felt the squirm of kits deep within. Folded ears would flatten as much as possible, short tail tucking closer, tighter against her form. She knew when these kits came, she couldn’t and wouldn’t hold it against them. After all, they had no say in it. Even now, without being able to see their faces, she felt warmth slowly chip away at the sadness deep within. It would be a new beginning when they arrived; for them, and herself. Perhaps that was what she needed to finally accept what’s done as done. They would grow up in Goldenclan; cared for by their clanmates, and knowing they’d always have their mother by their side, to watch over and nurture them. That was one thing she’d make certain of. There was no way she’d ever let them feel as alone as she felt at that moment. "Priss?" The she-cat was snapped back to reality at the sound of a voice calling her name. Instinctively, her ears flattened once more. Secretly, she couldn’t help but begin to loathe even the name bestowed upon her. Yet, she recognized that voice. She knew who it belonged to; a sweet, young she-cat who was just as persistent as she was kind. The young queen had to force herself to not roll her eyes; she didn’t know why. It wasn’t as if she gave her any reason to be so kind. Yet, strangely enough, the sight of the young ‘paw padding towards her as she raised her head seemed to ease the whirling emotions of confusion, hurt, and loss deep within. For the first time since she arrived to this strange place, she couldn’t help but blink softly in the she-cat's direction, watching as she settled down next to her. ”How are you feeling? Are you settling in any better?” She bit back a resigned chuckle. Funny; this she-cat's concern didn’t seem to have any bounds. Yet, despite the prompting questions, her thoughts kept drifting back to that thought. A soft puff of breath escaped her before blue hues transfixed warily upon the prey she set down. “I don’t like that name anymore,” She admitted, an almost bitter tone sinking into her voice, resting her head upon her paws. Her voice. It used to be as smooth as silk yet, as she spoke, she noticed a rasp begin to take hold. Had she lapped anything up today? As she thought back, she found herself drawing up a blank. She wanted to shake her head at the thought. She shouldn’t be wallowing in self-pity like this; she needed to take care of herself. If not for her, for the kits she would soon bring into the world. Jaded blue hues watched with dull curiosity as the apprentice plucked at the animal’s fur. “...Starlingpaw.” She breathed the name, allowing it to roll off her tongue. “...how did you get that name? Who gave it to you?”

Cass "I promised the Elders fresh bedding. Sweetfern is complaining of that pain in her side again..." as Avenbraid mentioned the she-cat, something sad crept over her face. Sweetfern was, in fact, not an Elder but was a cat only a few moons older than Ava herself. But the sickness that had taken the camp had nearly killed her and it had left the pretty she-cat with brain damage and she acted more like a kit than a Warrior. She had become the charge of her brother- Sandstrike. Shaking away her thoughts, Avenbraid shot her apprentice a mischievous glance over her shoulder. "But first, I did promise Rosepaw and Sandstrike some battle training. Tundrastar may come by later with Starlingpaw but she's on nursery duty this morning." Avenbraid quickened her pace a bit, coming off the wood of the playground surfaces. "Before we get there, do you have any questions for me?" ~ When Priss spoke to her, Starlingpaw couldn't hold her surprise. The former kitty-pet had been mostly cold and quiet to her in the days she had been in her care. For the the first time, truly, Starling saw some type of emotion besides pain and regret in her syrupy blue eyes. "Then we can call you something else then. Even if you don't take a Warrior name, we can give you another nickname for now. Your fur is pretty... oh and your eyes as well... Maybe something like Bell or Sky?..." at the next question, Starlingpaw seemed rather lost and suddenly her energy shifted from eager and kind to a little sad. She plucked more fur from the squirrel thoughtfully. "I don't know," she replied honestly after a moment. "The Fever that nearly destroyed Goldenclan a few seasons ago, it took the lives of both my parents. I was just a kit then... but I remember my mother's voice and her calling me her little starling. I'm not sure if that was meant to be my name or not but it's what Tundrastar called me." She flicked her warm gaze over Priss thoughtfully and couldn't hold back her slight purr of concern. "Are you thirsty? I could show you to the nearest pool. Or I can bring you a moss-ball if you'd rather. You need to keep hydrated though. Water is precious for Queens."

~Sweetfern- oh, the precious, precious babe. First off, something to know about Sweetfern is that her origins aren't entirely known even still today. She was born to a timid Queen named Yellowpetal and she always got incredibly uncomfortable when the father of her two-kit litter was ever mentioned. So the clan stopped asking her about it... but both of her kits- Sand and Sweet- have unusual markings and it's rumored their sire isn't Goldenclan born. Of the two, Sandstrike has always been ambitious and has sought validation and power virtually since kithood. Meanwhile, Sweetfern only longed to fit in and feel like she belongs- which is a hard to accomplish feat when you consider her appearance. But we'll get to that in a moment. Sand and Sweet faced a devastating blow when they were newly made Warriors and their mother was found dead outside of camp- the reason for her demise still unknown. A few moons later, Sweetfern fell ill with a fever. Sandstrike stayed by her as the illness ravaged her body and mind. Sweetfern recovered but has never been the same and her brother remains her keeper. She talks slow and with a drawl from brain damage and she has the mentality more so of a kitten than a full grown cat and she is a resident of Goldenclan's Elder's Den. Sweetfern, even now, is the most genuine, kind, and selfless spirit that there ever could be and she enjoys playing with kits and telling stories. This poor dear is prone to body and headaches and she has to spend a lot of time resting or she gets very manic. She has her own blend of herbs that the Medicine Cats give her to keep her condition stable. Now- we're back to her appearance. And gee, what a wild card. Sweetfern is an unusually colored cat with a base pelt of a lilac-silver hue. She has darker patches of rich violet on both front legs and her rear left leg and half her tail. The tip of her bushy tail is white and she has a white throat and violet ears. Her legs- the ones with the darker violet- have tabby makings mixed with circular and crescent patterns. She has these same designs over both of her eyes- of which, the irises are a piercing blue. || Elder- retired early due to brain damage from illness. || Daughter of the late Yellowpetal and Paintedstar (of Inkclan)- unknown. Sister to Sandstrike. || Asexual kind of- gets cute little crushes though. || Related to Cloudstar (she doesn't know it though). || Goldenstar. ||

|| Sableshard || "I promised the Elders fresh bedding. Sweetfern is complaining of that pain in her side again..."
It was a good thing Sablepaw had fallen behind a couple of pawsteps from his mentor, or else she'd have seen the scowl that washed over his features at those words. Oh no, the young tom was all too proud to be excited at the prospect of something as dull as changing bedding. Perhaps when he got older, he'd understand how important even the most medial of tasks were within the clan; but, for now, he was all too narrow-minded for his own good. That tail usually kinked over his back drooped in bemusement--until he noticed Avenbraid glancing over her shoulder. No, as soon as he spotted that movement, his tail perked back up once more and, though a frown did take to his maw, those haughty caramel hues bore curiosity within their depths--feigning innocence.
"But first, I did promise Rosepaw and Sandstrike some battle training. Tundrastar may come by later with Starlingpaw but she's on nursery duty this morning."
His gaze sparked with excitement at those words, trying to contain the bounce in his step to remain cool and collected. However, by the time he heard one of the leaders' names come up, any composure was tossed out the window. "Really?" He probed, an almost squeaky tone to his voice as he caught back up to her. "Tundrastar will be there?"
"Before we get there, do you have any questions for me?"
"Are we learning anything new?" He mewed, barreling on with the questions. "Or are we doing mock battle practice?" The question had him coming to a stop, flexing his claws with excitement. Of course, any apprentice would be thrilled to show off their abilities to their clan's leaders--and he was no exception.

|| Priss || "Then we can call you something else then. Even if you don't take a Warrior name, we can give you another nickname for now. Your fur is pretty... oh and your eyes as well... Maybe something like Bell or Sky?..."
For a moment, listening to the young apprentice chatter on, she realized just how apt that name was for her. It was calming, really; it distracted her from the reality of it all, yet she couldn't help but feel her skin grow warm under-fur at the compliments passed her way. Blue hues tossed a glance at her shoulder, analyzing her smoky grey pelt. At that moment, she begun to realize just how long it'd been since she'd bother grooming herself. Shoving her embarrassment aside, the she-cat gave her shoulder fur a couple of quick licks. "Bell has a nice ring to it," she murmured in between licks.
"I don't know,"
The queen's ears perked at that response, pausing in her grooming.
"The Fever that nearly destroyed Goldenclan a few seasons ago, it took the lives of both my parents. I was just a kit then... but I remember my mother's voice and her calling me her little starling. I'm not sure if that was meant to be my name or not but it's what Tundrastar called me."
Even a cat who wanted to close herself off to everyone couldn't hold back the sympathy that swelled within blue bell hues. "I'm sorry to hear that," she mewed, voice soft. Instinctively, she found herself tucking her short tail closer against her body, mind drifting to the precious lives she held within. After a few moments, she finally broke the silence once more. "But your name keeps her memory alive like that, doesn't it?"
The queen's tail tip twitched. "And you've never thought about changing it, have you? .... the idea sounds strange. Going by something your whole life and then suddenly not." A frown took to her maw. "....But, I suppose that's normal for you. You won't go by Starlingpaw your whole life. You'll have your warrior name."
"Are you thirsty? I could show you to the nearest pool. Or I can bring you a moss-ball if you'd rather. You need to keep hydrated though. Water is precious for Queens."
Suddenly, the she-cat was all too aware of how dry her throat felt. Their conversation had completely kicked it from her mind; despite how raspy her voice sounded, especially to her own ears. Yet, she remained quiet, gaze drifting to stare at the entrance of the nursery. The more she thought about it, the sillier it seemed; holding herself up in here in hopes that, perhaps if she stayed in the darkness long enough, she'd awaken and find herself back home once more. Yet, the thought of stepping out there--Blue hues fell to stare at her paws.

"Don't be intimidated by him. He's a good Warrior. And very, very kind." Avenbraid whipped back, light on her paws as usual, and licked Sablepaw's ear. "Just do your best! No, nothing new for the start of it. We'll go over basics and just review what you already know. You're quick on your feet and you're a good strategist- I want to showcase that. Yes, mock battle practice... but I want you to use your claws this time. I won't be using mine. I want him to really see what you can do." A gleam of pride entered the she-cat's eyes as she stared fondly at her apprentice. Sablepaw, despite his attitude, had been a favorite of hers since he was born and she saw him almost as her own. Training apprentices was Aven's lifeblood and watching them succeed was everything she wanted. She gave Sablepaw one more thoughtful glance then turned back around and took off, weaving expertly through the high grass with her apprentice following closely behind. --- Down at the riverfront, the sun was blocked by overshadowed clouds- making the sand warm but not scorching under-paw. It wasn't too bright to see and the damp sand was warm but not hot. A perfect day to train. Already practicing, Rosepaw and Sandstrike were just a few paces away. Rosepaw was a pretty thing, a lanky and lean she-cat with multi-hued red fur. Her eyes were an amber color so shaded that they nearly looked red. She flicked her big ears as Sandstrike hissed something to her and she nodded, hunkering down lower. The she-cat leaped Sandstrike knocked her down with a blow to the chest. She landed on her back with a thud as the wind left her lungs. Avenbraid's ears flicked in worry as she scrambled to her paws and gasped for air. "You're too slow. Stop overthinking everything!" her mentor said with a wry lash of his tail. "Follow your instincts and stop getting tangled in your own mind like a fly in a spiderweb!" "I'm trying!" Rosepaw said desperately as Avenbraid and Sablepaw closed the gap between them. When the apprentice saw a fellow 'paw, she brightened visibly and took a few steps over, pressing her nose to his ear. "Hi!" "Avenbraid," Sandstrike gave a curt nod but his eyes glittered when the former kitty-pet padded up to him. An uncomfortable feeling rested in Ava's stomach like a stone and she gave him a nod back. Avenbraid began untwining the remnants of her collar from her fur. She took the string of pearls in her paws and used them to tie the longer portions of her fur back out of her face and then she worked on braiding the strands of her tail. Long, silky fur would only get in the way during training and she was determined to help make sure Sablepaw became the best Warrior he could. She couldn't do that if she was tripping over her own tail. ~ "Bell is pretty," Starlingpaw agreed then she thoughtfully added. "I've never thought about being anything but 'starling'. It fits me well enough. I hope I have a pretty Warrior name and I'm not like... Starlingfur or Starlingbeak or something like that. Something too plain or too strange... That's awful though, isn't it?" she said with a small chuckle, placing a paw over her lips as she stifled a laugh. Then Starlingpaw noticed quickly how the former kitty-pet seemed suddenly bashful over her appearance and a streak of determination lit like fire in her heart. "Now, Miss Bell, it'll be good for you to get some fresh air... and easier for me to change your bedding if you're not laying in it. Why don't we get you all cleaned up then go outside? I'll be right with you the entire time and I can show you around... it may make you feel better..." gently, Starlingpaw abandoned the prey she'd been so tediously plucking, and she began to groom the molly's fur. Soft rasps of her tongue and gentle tugging of her teeth worked out snarls and dirty fur. "Just trust me, hm? You'll be fluffy and shiny and new in no time. Just be wary of the mulch- it'll snare in your belly fur."

Character Starters/Role Play Beginnings for all of my Kitties that aren't in use currently- Anyone can Respond! <3
Tundrastar was sitting atop one of the highest points of the camp, the top window of the wooden tower where the leader's made their den. He sat unmoving, a white phantom against the gray and brown grains of wood. His miscolored eyes flicked across the bustling camp below. He saw his daughters, Finchkit and Dovekit, wrestling in the mulch under the watchful eye of Mothfur- one the Elders. He saw Avenbraid taking her promising apprentice, Sablepaw, out for training. Somewhere, Feralcreed was leading a hunting patrol. A soft wind brought the smell of rain and Tundra flicked an ear. They'd need to make sure there were no leaks in the playground again... a few seasons back, the nursery had nearly flooded during a bad downpour. Another smell caught the leader's attention and he turned his head, able to see Lenny- one of the kittypet allies who was a friend to Goldenclan- was sitting on a tree branch in his yard, sunbathing and cleaning his ears in the cloudy haze of the day. With an exhale, the leader turned and leaped down from his perch, landing on the inside of the tower. He began to scale down the steps that lead to the rest of the dens, making a note to slow down enough later to catch up with his brother. And so the day begins. ~ "What a beautiful day! A little gray though..." the gravely voice came from a pretty gray she-cat with curled ears as she padded her way down to the sloping steps of the playground and into the soft mulch of Golden Park. She looked around, smoky gray eyes glittering as she looked for cats to join her on a patrol. She caught sight of a pretty gray she-cat with a bobbed tail and she flicked her ears warmly in greeting. "Leafwatcher!" she called to the Medicine Cat and the healer turned back on her paws, green eyes glittering. She dropped her mouthful of cobwebs and buried them under the mulch, heading eagerly over to see what the Deputy wanted. "Yes, Stormlegend?" "I'm going to gather some cats for patrol. Would you like to come with us and search for herbs?" The healer perked and she gave an enthusiastic nod. "Oh, I'd love to!" ~ Out in the forest, Feralcreed was hunkered low to the ground. He crept forward, one paw-step after the other, silent as a hidden storm. The mouse that was a few tail-lengths away was chewing so happily on a sunflower seed that it never noticed him... until it was dead beneath his paws. Feralcreed lifted his head in victory and peered over his shoulder, his dark green eyes shining with victory. "Great catch!" Ivoryshell purred, the pretty dark cream she-cat padding over. She gave the tom's cheek a gentle lick and flicked her ears, looking around. "Let's head down toward the river- there's always good hunting in the bracken there." "Good idea! Let's wait a second for the others though. I wonder where they could have headed off to..." ~ "Would you stop bouncing up and down like an excited apprentice! You would think you were the one going out for battle training," Foxslayer's gravely voice cut through the peaceful day as he swatted at Ferretfur's ears. The pretty cream and brown she-cat ducked from the attack and rolled backward, flopping on her back into the soft mulch. The dark red and black tom rolled his eyes at his sister and laid his head down on his crossed paws, closing his good eye as his litter-mate rolled over and playfully pummeled his side with her hind paws. He growled at her and lashed his tail but he couldn't hide the purr that was nearly rising in his throat. "I can't help it, okay Grumpyclaws?! I'm just so excited to get training with Ravenpaw and Tangledpaw. They should be here any minute and I just can't wait! You know training apprentices is like my favorite thing!" ~ Echofrost and Cedarrift sat in a warm patch of mulch, idly grooming each-others fur. Their kits had been apprentices for some time now but Echo had just recently felt well enough to leave the nursery. Having such a large litter of kits her first time as a mother had been hard on her and losing three of them shortly after had been emotionally devastating. She had been isolating in the nursery, only straying out to talk to Cedarrift or see her surviving children- Lightpaw, Tulippaw, and Nightpaw. As Stormlegend talked about a patrol, the white and cream she-cat hunkered closer to her mate. She definitely didn't want to be volunteered for that. There was no part of her, absolutely no part of her, that was ready to go out in the forest to try to hunt or renew scent markers. ~ Treeclimber and Whitetoes came back into camp, the brother and sister walking side by side with impressive catches in their mouths- a squirrel and a rabbit. Whitetoes mumbled something to her brother then took off into the playground to take her kill to the Elders while Treeclimber dropped rabbit off on the fresh kill pile. He pricked his ears and headed over to Wolftracker where the tom was sunbathing and settled down beside his friend and the two Warriors began to share tongues leisurely in the warmth of the cloudy day. ~ "Tulippaw, wake up!" Lightpaw prodded his sister with his paw then turned around and nipped at his brother's ears. Nightpaw groaned and tucked his head deeper into his paws, curling tighter into a ball. "You lazy sacks of fur, both of you! It's time to get up- Stormlegend is calling a patrol and we need to be on it. Come on- get up, get up!" "Stars, alright!" Nightpaw snapped, bolting up out of his nest so that it sent pieces of moss flying everywhere- one of them landing on Newpaw's freshly groomed tail and she shot the dark colored tom a sour glare as she went to clean the spot on her pelt again. "Let's go start the day." ~ "Good job, Finchkit!" Mothfur praised as the little she-kit pinned down her sister, Dovekit. The Elder watched fondly as Coalkit and Sunkit tussled beside them, the four kits eagerly practicing their new battle moves. It wouldn't be long now that they would all be made apprentices and the four of them already showed great promise. The old she-cat loved to take the time to watch the kits play- it beat telling them stories all the time! Not too far away, Frostdaisy, who was Sunkit and Coalkit's mother, was gently grooming the thin, wispy fur of Deerspirit- Goldenclan's oldest resident. The she-cat had been beautiful in her prime but now her brown pelt was so dingy it nearly looked gray and her white paws popped when she moved. Her whiskers, curled at the end, twitched as Coalkit let out a little cry of victory and she chuckled gently- nearly sightless blue eyes catching only glimpses of movement. "Watching those kits keeps Mothfur young, I think," she commented in her gentle, raspy voice. Frostdaisy purred a bit, working on removing a flea from behind the Elder's ear. "And what keeps you young, Deerspirit?" "Oh, you do, dear. You and all the others who are so kind to me." She smiled a bit and laid her head on her paws, closing her eyes to enjoy the soothing comfort of Daisy's companionship and the rhythmic euphoria of her licks. "Sweetfern said she was going to come watch them play too... I wonder where she doddled off to..."

Leafy
"Good morning!" came the sing-songy voice from a handsome blue-gray tom with a fluffy white tail. He poked his head into the Apprentice's Den to see one precious kitty still asleep in their nest. "Pecanpaw- it's time to start the day. Let's go!" He chuckled to himself and padded into the den, giving his apprentice a little tap on the shoulder. Cloudweaver was never one to rush things but he did feel a bit out of place when the rest of the clan was roaring to life around him and he and Pecanpaw were dragging their feet... again. "Let's be productive." ~ "Morning, Nightflower," Tundrastar greeted as he padded by the she-cat as she groomed her fur in the soft mulch of camp. "Up for a patrol today?"

"I'm so excited to go out with you today. Are you ready?" When Tangledpaw came over to Foxslayer and his litter-mate, he didn't act nearly as excited. Not that he wasn't, per say... but he didn't need to spill his guts out every time he laid eyes on the tom he was training. Foxslayer gave a small nod and touched his nose to his apprentice's shoulder. "Ready kid?" he asked in his usual gruff tone. "Let's get the day going, hm? We're burning daylight." ~ Newpaw went racing from the den, eyes shining as she looked around for her mentor. When she saw him, the pretty, dainty she-cat hurried over to Emberblade and butted his shoulder with her head. "Hey!" she greeted warmly. Newpaw, like a lot of apprentices, was an orphan and had lost both of her parents due to Fire Fever when she was a kit. Ever since she had been granted as Emberblade's apprentice, she had been very close to the tom and often treated him as both a father and a mentor. That connection was clear as it shined in her eyes. "Can we go out today, please? Everyone else is and I'd love to go do something! Maybe we could battle train or hunt? Could we go close to the railroad tracks maybe? Tulippaw says they're scary but I'm not afraid!" --- Rowan
"Firepaw?" Arcticthunder gently prodded his apprentice's side to wake her, the big burly white tom smelling sweetly of herbs and sage. "Time to wake up. Leafwatcher is already out for the day and you and I are in here sleeping it away. A shame we are, isn't it?" he chuckled, rolling his shoulders. "I think we should pay Fleo a visit while Leaf is out- it's the perfect day for collecting catmint." ~ "I'm here! I'm so sorry I'm late!" panted Lightpaw as he raced over to Gildedrose. His pale fur stuck out in all directions and his eyes were wide with worry as he skidded to a halt in front of his mentor. "Can we still train today? I promise I'll do my best, Gildedrose, I really will!"
